Feeling Anxious

Saturday, 10/14/06, on their way

Well, Beloved Prayer Partners,
It is 3:00 a.m. and Miami has called. Ron & Sara are (were? I'm sure you'll read this at a normal hour) in Montgomery for the grand opening of the new State Fraternal Order of Police Lodge.  The first few moments were chaos as our initial information we were told the company we chartered the flight through did not have a plane available - so we got to scrambling.

Very unlike me (but a good habit to have), when Ron called & told me this and asked me to start searching from here, the first thing I did when I hung up with him was to offer up a prayer.  I know that God has watched over Sara, He must have great plans for her!!!  So, I lifted up the transportation issue to him and within 3 minutes Ron called back & said the Airplane is on its way (Hello Grace, so good to see you this morning.   Thank you for coming).

It is flying out of Florence, will stop in Montgomery to pick them up, and they will all be on their way to Miami.

I am led to request a prayer vigil for Sara, her family, and her medical team until she is out of surgery.  So, I know God will have people reading this email as vacancies in the time-frame arise.  Please continue to pray for this entire situation.  It is through your prayers that she has gotten to where she is so far.  We should have lost her numerous times over the course of this past year, but God has spared her. I know your prayers are working - we feel them.

I have no idea how long this surgery will last.  They will be doing a stomach, pancreas, and small intestine transplant.  The doctor will have a liver available, too, in case he deems it is necessary.

Please also remember in your prayers the organ donor and his/her family and friends who are grieving as you read this.

Things to consider when praying (no, this is not an all-inclusive list, so if you think of something I didn't list, just pray as you are led):
The medical team - that God will guide the surgeons knives (yes, there is a team of surgeons and doctors working on her), their thoughts, their direction, course of action.  That they will see what they need to see when they need to see it to make the appropriate decisions for Sara's health.  Pray they will be steady and sure in the gift of healing that God has granted them.  Pray for the nurses, the anesthesiologist, the assistants, and as you are led.
The medical equipment- that God will keep everything operational as intended, power to the room, proper functioning of all areas - electrical, availability of needed items, and as you are led.
The Family - that they will feel Gods grace, guidance, love, and peace as they wait during the surgery.
The Donor - that s/he is dancing on the golden streets of Heaven.  That s/he is having a magnificent reunionwith his/her Maker, and as you are led.
The Donor's Family - as they struggle with their loss, may they feel God's love and understanding.  May they take comfort in their decision of organ donation to help our little Sara.  Pray that God will guide them, help them, heal them.  Just as Sara will struggle in the near future to heal, they will struggle through the painful healing of a lost loved one, and as you are led.
The hospital staff - that God guides them in their work efforts to help heal the patients that they are helping, and as you are led.
Sanitation/sterilization - that God will bind any and all germs that may come to harm Sara, AND everyone involved in her healing (medical staff, visitors, patients, employees, surfaces) and as you are led.
Satanic Binding - through the name of Jesus Christ, that anything that may come to harm, disrupt, interfer, distract, or otherwise take away from this situation is bound by the mighty power of the Almighty God.
Transportation - God found the plane, may he keep it in the air and on the ground as it is supposed to go.  May it be a safe, secure, without incident flight.  May everyone get to and from the airport safely and securely - including the organs.

I will keep you updated as I know.  I don't know how long the surgery is supposed to last, but could be happening when you read this.

Thank you all for your continued support, love, comfort, and generosity.
I pray all of this, and my gratitude to God for you who are reading this, in Jesus' Almight, Nothing-Stopping, Satanic Binding, Redeemer, Savior, Magnificent God's, most perfect name.  Amen!
