ISAIAH WASHINGTON: Big Brother

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

No one can ever say that Isaiah Washington doesn't give back to the community.

The white-hot star of the hit ABC medical drama 'Grey's Anatomy' appears on the Sept. 21 episode of the nationally syndicated courtroom series 'Judge Hatchett.'

He's not arguing a case either.

The 43-year-old Houston native will appear on the long-running show to partake in an intervention with an at-risk youth.

"There was a time I didn't think I'd live to see 25," Washington said in an interview in the Sept. 18 edition of 'TV Guide.'

"I was young and dumb... And one day I popped off my mouth to the wrong person and got shot."

SHOT!!!

Oh hell no, Isaiah.

Hatchett isn’t one of those soul sister judges who rolls her eyes and neck and let unassuming and unscrupulous courtroom attendants have it (for the sake of ratings).  While she does give more than her two cents on home-hitting issues, she frequently uses the program to help turn around lives of the young.

Washington steps in as a role model for Hakeem White, a 16-year-old North Carolinian with a record of crime that already includes gun possession, selling drugs and slashing his own brother with a knife.

Whoa!

Damn you 50 Cent!!! (Just a joke, don't get crazy)

According to 'TV Guide,' the media-shy Washington (who delivered scene-stealing performances in Spike Lee movies 'Clockers,' 'Girl 6,' and 'Get on the Bus') told White something he had never told anyone other than his wife: He still has the bullet hole in his right hip.

Ummmmmm

"[Hakeem] needed to see that we all have a choice in this world, that we can all change our destiny," Washington said.

Ironically, a big cliffhanger on the Shonda Rhimes-helmed 'Anatomy' is how Dr. Preston Burke (Washington's character) will recover from gunshot wounds.

The new season of 'Grey's Anatomy' premieres on Sept. 21 on ABC.

MR.Washington is a extroadinary actor hands down. He has been my house hold favorite since his roles in (LIVING SINGLE) as Queen Latifah's leading man or in hollywood terminology leading BO. I'm the AUTHOR of the entitled book (SKIP TRASER) that made it's debut on 08-07-06. And I am looking forward to working with MR. Washington in the near future, and I would love for him to come to work with the atitude of being NUMBER ONE. Even if he has to grab some lazy butt by the throat and tell him (get your butt in gear this is part of your future) I support the man ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.The boy was also hot in Spike Lee's CLOCKER'S.
And he was outstanding in the hit movie TROIS.

You can also order my book from barnes&nobles, or amazon .com
trust me you won't be disappointed.
yours truly MR. RAFAEL JAKE BEDFORD.

I think Mr. Isaiah Washington is a wonderful actor.  I am glad he is giving back to the community, and helping this young man.  I hope other actors and actresses Black and White and other races also, will step to the plate and help teens who are in trouble too.  Keep up the good work Isaiah!  Blessings to you and yours and everyone who reads this coment.  Girl 1
