Oprah For President? Hell No!!!

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

Well, it's official.

Sort of.

Oprah Winfrey -- whom I often refer to lovingly as "The Almighty O" -- will not seek any sort of political office after her reign as the chart-topping daytime talk show queen.

According to published reports, lawyers for the multimedia mogul have ordered Kansas City businessman Patrick Crowe to pull the plug on his grassroots movement to land her in the Oval Office.

Or else!!!

Claiming that the campaign is causing "damage and irreparable injury" to Oprah's businesses, the legal eagles want Crowe to hang up a toll-free number that ends in "OPRAH," and pull his book, 'Oprah for President: Run, Oprah, Run.'

"I'm genuinely puzzled," Crowe told the 'New York Post.' "How could [it] possibly cause damage and irreparable injury?"

If Mrs. Winfrey never gave another dollar to anyone or anything, I would be fine, just because the sheer nature of her giving is diminished if she must meet someone elses determination of "enough".  If she hired the entire "Umpaloompa Gang" from Willy Wonka's Factory to work on her staff...fine by me.  I don't even remember the ethnicity of the last waiter to serve my food...the last guy to change my oil in my car...the pest control company that services my home...etc...BUT TO THINK THAT OPRAH MUST BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS, AND I AM NOT...IS THIS FAIR?  Oprah, stay out of Federal Politics...In this country there are about 300 million people all screaming for 600 million different things..who needs it!????   Keep doing what you are doing...let them talk.  I hope someone can forward this to her because I would like to thank Mrs. Winfrey for doing "whatever she wants"....On her terms...for her reasons...not mine or anyone elses...
Lastly....Anyone disagree with this?....Post all of your earnings and exspenditures on a public blog...be sure to include donations to every organization, and all ethnic info applicable........then Americans with a bunch of time on their hands can tell you how to live your lives better...How does that sound?....See ya in the funny papers....
    Yours Truly,
Hard working American (black) with my Own problems (Live your best Life Folks)

One person in this blog makes a point that is sometimes great, sometimes sad, but always true.  "EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OPINION FACT OR FICTION".  Some people make comments on what "O" has done for certain "groups" of people, and what she "has not" done.  The fact is...If I offered someone $1000 for each correct answer to questions pertaining to exact amounts and/or to "whom", "O" gave anything to...many would go home broke.  I Don't know what any of you readers earned last year, but according to reports...most Americans do not even pay themselves (Americans don't save anything), let alone their bills (consumer debt inches upward every day)...So I know many don't "GIVE" to others.  These facts still do not hinder anyone with a mouth to decide how "someone elses" income should be redistributed into society.
