People, everything printed online is not truth.  Consider the source of these articles.  Many are FULL of Subjective information.

I've heard those stories befor and I believe them.  White people really put a wuppin on us back then.  They were vicious enough to make us hate and despise ourselves.  It was as shamefull then as it is today.  Whats worse is that we know it but still continue on with this insane legacy.  When will we learn?

It's really not shocking to hear this quote, black people have been racsist this way forever, light skinned, dark skinned, whichever way it is, i am creole and have both light skinned and dark skinned people in my family, and these types of feelings were inherent everyday in my life as a child, it still is the same today, with most black female loved and accepted for their beauty being light skinned, look at india aire who i think is beautiful and then think halle berry who is used as a standard of beauty, even singers like beyonce, janet jackson, and so forth, you don't see angie stone, grace jones, or jennifer holliday on the cover of magazines as a beacon of black beauty,

According to her book.."Angel On My Shoulder"...it was her mother who made this comment.  Not her father.  Which puzzled Natalie because her father was exactly what her mother did not want for her.  Gee....I believe the news wire got the quote wrong!
