BEYONCE: Back To Her Roots

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

The BV Newswire has learned that Beyonce will make her first-ever trip to West Africa to headline the first night of the first annual THISDAY Music Festival in Lagos, Nigeria, on Oct. 7.

Held in celebration of Nigeria's 46th year of independence, the two-day "THISDAY Music Festival" will also feature Jay-Z, Ciara, En Vogue, Snoop Dogg, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliott, and Busta Rhymes.

"It's a great thrill to come to West Africa for the first time to celebrate Nigeria's independence," said the multimedia superstar. "I feel blessed for this opportunity for my all-female band and me to appear on stage with some of the world's most talented artists and share the universal message of peace, hope and beauty that music brings to all of us."

THISDAY is one of the largest Africa-owned media groups in Africa, publishing newspapers, magazines and online properties.

    What up B
You are good girl! I love the new cd. I like that your parents protected your interest. Thats life. Those are the breaks. You were blessed. People want to insinuate jealousy or envy into the picture. Fact is: If you and Kelly and Michelle are still like family and ya'll understand and agree and support personal endeavors, its your biz not anyone else's. I would like to add that you had them model your clothing line on Oprah. You are always linked to your girls. You are all different people. Michelle wouldn't want to do what you do. Kelly is richly dark and beautiful and she is respected. I think that anytime people see a black woman excelerate in this world of sharks and piranahs, they get critical. You are no different and daring than Tina Turner, Eartha Kitt,Patti Labelle,Diana Ross and The Supremes were. Its about marketing and packaging.People want to see your legs, your bootyliciousness. You like the rest of us will only be young once...do your thang girl don't let the naysayers hold you down! I love all three of you and I always say your mom taught you and Solange' right..lol...a heheh.lol  Iknow some soldier;s in here (where dey at where dey at...don't mind puttin' that on me!!" Its a statment not a question folks. These so called saved folks and others act like they don't know anything worldly. I guess some came out of the womb holy! Give B her just dues. She is Hot and if Aaliyah was here she would be Aaliyah just like Beyonce' is B...why do we always have to replace one somebody with another...Damn...can't we all just get along, if you don't like Her and Jay z checking on it then get your own man and take your hostility out on him, not B. Ashford and Simpson checked upon it and they still checkin'. B, Jay z is not studidly rich for nothing...keep doing what you do, and send me one of them soldier's from the BK!
Another Dirty South Femme Fatale...........DC3, and B solo, its all good
