THIS JUST IN: Ol' Dirty Bastard's Grand Finale

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

Hip-hop mogul Damon Dash announced plans to release the last studio album from Wu-Tang Clan member and critically acclaimed solo artist Ol' Dirty Bastard.

Titled  'A Son Unique,' the opus will hit stores on Nov. 7 -- commemorating the anniversary of the hip-hop personality's death, which occurred on Nov. 13, 2004.

According to Giovanna Melchiorre, publicist for KOCH Entertainment --distributors of Damon Dash Music Group, the album will feature collaborations with Macy Gray, Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott, RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Method Man,  M.O.P., N.O.R.E., and Pharrell.

Sounds like a winner.

Can't wait to hear it.

BV Extras:

The Wu-Tang Clan may be reuniting.  Some members are "uncomfortable."  Read all about it here.

Wu Tang Clansman RZA has some legal drama. Check out the story via TMZ.com here.

I MISS O.D.B.  SO MUCH, HE WAS A GENIUS IN DISGUISE. JUST THINKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT HE'S NOT HERE, REDUCES ME TO TEARS LIKE A BABY. I'LL FOREVER MISS O.D.B. BUT, I'LL KEEP HIS MEMORY AND THE REST OF THE WU-TANG CLAN BUY PLAYING THEIR MUSIC EVERYDAY. IT'S A THROWBACK TO A TIME WHEN MUSIC ARTISTS CREATED MUSIC AND WERE ON THE FOREFRONT OF SOCIAL AND POLITICAL ISSUES. THE WU-TANG CLAN TAUGHT US SO MUCH, THESE GUYS ARE SO INTELLIGENT, I'M STILL DECIPHERING THEIR LYRICS. I DON'T THINK THAT DAMON DASH AND HIS ROC-A-FELLA TEAM COULD TRULY CAPTURE THE GENIUS OF AN ERA GONE BY, BUT OUT OF RESPECT FOR OL' DIRTY I'LL BUY THE ALBUM. WU-TANG, NAS,BLACKSTARR, BOOT CAMP, FUGEES,ETC. HEY YOU GUYS WHAT'S UP! LET'S TAKE THIS BACK, WHY ARE Y'ALL LETTING THESE GARBAGE *SS FAKES RULE THE INDUSTRY? I'M TRULY HURT, DRUGS DIDN'T KILL O.D.B. THE INDUSTRY KILLED HIS CREATIVE SOUL, AND THE SPIRIT OF A GREAT MAN. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS LEFT WAS A SHELL, JUST LIKE WITH KURT, LAYNE, AND A WHOLE LISTS OF ARTIST GENIUS.

ODB was the shit.. I don't think he got the respect like Method Man, GhostFace, Raekwon..He was a good individual on the mic.. I don't know too much about his personal life, like I gives a fuck.. I seen his troubles to pull out his clothing line.. But i respect him for who he was..(ME AND MARIAH GO BACK LIKE BABIES WITH PACIFYERS!!!) The sentences of lyrics, which made me look at him as a straight up nigga on the mic..He blew up after that..RIP ODB.. I WILL BE LOOKING TO GET THAT ALBUM!!!
