MISS NEW YORK: In Her Own Words
By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices
Everything is coming to a head on the second season of VH1's runaway hit reality show competition 'Flavor Of Love.'
On Oct. 15, the grand finale will air and the winner will be revealed to a thriving audience of millions eagerly anticipating which head turning reality TV Diva will get to be Flavor Flav's woman.
Miss New York, in all her splendid glory, has become the contender that everyone seems to be hedging bets on as the winner. We just can't get enough of her. I even want to have an audience with her mother -- who really knows how to shake up a scene.
As a cast-off from the first groundbreaking season of the show, the Upstate New York native legally known as Tiffany Pollard and all of her over-the-top antics has engaged viewers like none other.
In our typical style, The BV Newswire obtained a raw transcript of the latest interview Miss New York conducted yesterday with MTV Radio's ace reporter/producer Bridget Bland for 'The Stuff' -- a smoking hot gossip newsletter serviced to hundreds of radio stations across the country.
What she had was too hot to wait for publishing on Monday.
So here are some off the cuff excerpts:
On Flav not picking her the first go round…
"Oh boy, well you know sometimes you just got to let a man be a man and men sometimes they make mistakes, they’re not as smart as women. I knew it. I saw it coming. I knew this girl wasn’t right for him. I knew she wasn’t going to be able to take him where New York was going to be able to take him, but like I said hey, I had to let this man make his manly, crazy, behind mistake."
Her fellow finalist Hoopz (who actually won) on the first season…
"Hoopz is really trying to milk her little 15 minutes of fame. She's chillin' with all the rappers and doing a lot of other things on the low, I’m sure with the rappers. It’s just pretty sad. She’s looking like a little flip right now. Everybody is getting a piece of Hoopz and it looks terrible. I feel sorry for the child."
Hoopz's alleged affair with red-hot rapper T.I….
"Hey, we all know how it goes down in the studio. They’re doing more than just laying down f**kin…ohhh God did I just curse…they are doing more than just rhyming over some hot tracks. No I don’t think so. They are getting it on in that studio we all know that."
Her fellow finalist of this season, Deelishis…
"The only thing Deelishis has working for her is that enormous sit down."
The future of her and Flav…
"If things work out, I just see us going so far, so long and us being soul mates, you know. Like I said, if things work out…he’s not getting rid of me I am not going to let this man go. I love him way too much."
Suffering Reality Show Syndrome (ala Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson)…
"Seriously if you get two great people together and they don’t lose track of what brought them together, which was true love, I think you can definitely find true love on a reality show. Some shows it doesn’t work out because the public is watching and waiting for the relationship to break down, but if you have two people who are focused and want to make it happen and make it work, it can definitely work."
The possibility of another reality show run…
"[Will I do it again?] Ummm, probably…..NOT. What it is is that the success of the show, it's a great show. I often watch the show, I love the show, but you gotta remember I never went on the show to be famous. I just went on the show to give my heart to a wonderful man and to see if we can be together or not. Yeah, I am a little tired of the camera action."

I DON'T CARE HOW DRAMATIC NEW YOK IS (CUZ YOU KNOW YOU ARE GIRL) BUT I LIKE HER AND I BELIEVE SHE REALLY LOVES FLAV. GENERALLY SPEAKING, SHE ACTS NO DIFFERENT FROM ANY GIRL I HAVE SEEN WHO IS DEEPLY IN LOVE...HE REACTIONS, MOODS, DEMEANORS, RESPONSES, FEELINGS, ECT. ARE JUST ON AIR FOR EVERYONE TO SEE. IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN IN LOVE BEFORE, YOU KNOW THAT "TRUE LOVE" TAKES YOU OVER THE EDGE AND SOMEWHERE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN. ON TOP OF NEW YORKS NATURALLY OVER THE EDGE PERSONALLITY, HER IN-LOVE HEART MADE HER SEEM AS IF SHE WAS GOING OFF THE CLIFF...AND IN SOME ASPECTS SHE CLEARLY DID...BUT CAN YOU BLAME HER? DEFINITELY NOT BECAUSE SHE WAS REAL WITH HERSELF AND FLAV FROM DAY ONE UNLIKE THE REST OF THEM CHICKS. I THINK NEW YORK IS A GOOD-HEARTED WOMAN AND AS A WOMAN MYSELF I WOULDN'T MIND HAVING A NEW YORK IN MY CIRCLE OF FRIENDS NOT JUST FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES (B/C YOU WANT YOUR FRIENDS TO BE ENTERTAINING) BUT FOR HER HONESTY.
