WHITNEY HOUSTON: Family Affair

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

Don’t' call it a comeback.

But Whitney Houston is getting back into the swing of things on the music front.

And from the sound of her latest music endeavor, the "I Will Always Love You' singer may be taking a step in the right direction -- in her return to the charts.

Houston is making a stunning appearance on the soundtrack to Tyler Perry's forthcoming film 'Daddy's Little Girls' with the track "Family First," featuring her mother Cissy Houston, her cousin Dionne Warwick and someone who sounds just like her daughter Bobby Kristina.

The song is produced by Warwick's youngest son, Damon Elliot, who has worked with Pink, Mya, Destiny's Child, Kelis, Jessica Simpson and Macy Gray, amongst others.

With the refrain of "just remember family comes first," the encouraging anthem keeps in the tradition of other superstar collaborations that are becoming consistent with soundtracks to Perry's films.  For the 'Madea's Family Reunion' soundtrack, a rousing all-star ensemble comprised of Chaka Khan, Gerald Levert, Yolanda Adams, and Carl Thomas sang  "Everyday (Family Reunion)."

New-school R&B crooner Jaheim, Musiq Soulchild and Anthony Hamilton join musical forces on the lead single "Struggle No More (The Main Event)."

The soundtrack, to be released via Atlantic Records on Jan. 16, also features tracks by Yolanda Adams, Brian McKnight, R. Kelly, Jaheim, Gerald Levert, and Beyoncé. The movie, starring Idris Elba, Gabrielle UnionTraci Ellis Ross and Terri J. Vaughan is due in theaters on Feb. 14.

I have a grerat admiration for MRs. Huston. She eptiomises the freshness of A Queens Royalty faced with the facetiousness of adversity by her own people, and stands stronger than the likes of a movie 'Antwon fisher' by her mans side in a Famile affair. and if not all but a great many of wemen were to emulate her greatness there would be more stronger children ready to face lifes adversities that those who'll wait too late, knowing it all from parents like you, waiting to malign my veracity in saying this.
She's a GEM!An reciprocating love back to her for bombing that ugly-ass wendy williams the way she did it so smoothly and efficaciously over the air she would know she's a Queen as I am who I am!!!

    Whitney,

Life is full of ups and downs, when we fall down we get up a just man falls 7 times
and yet he get up. As long as God sit on the thrown we will always get back on the
right track, God allows us to do our thing and never leave us .
He is known  as A God Of Another Chance. So if no one have ever walked in your shoes don't judge just pray that they never do.Search your heart and your life to see where you have been and go where God send you. Keep your family together love them and if your marriage don't completly work, learn to be a friend.
Children are some times made from the passion of that moment and did'ent ask
for our world we invited them in. Go for the GOLD , your voice is like a song bird so let the dew in the morning inhance it, let the wind blow the all pain away and the light of the moon brighten you life. Philipians 4:13  I can do all thing through
    Christ whom strengthen me.
Linda Clark  Baltimore Md. P.S. I would like to see a concert.
