WENDY WILLIAMS: Still B****in'

By Karu F. Daniels, AOL Black Voices

The "bitch" business is turning out to be a good thing for nationally syndicated shock jock Wendy Williams.

No, I am not calling the sharp-witted multimedia maven a "bitch" -- per say-- I'm referring to the title of  her latest literary endeavor: "Is The Bitch Dead, Or What?  The Ritz Harper Chronicles Volume 2.'

The trade paperback novel will be released via Random House's Broadway Books imprint on Feb. 13.

It is the second installment of an innovative novel series that is turning out to be a grand scheme for Williams, who helms her five-hour gabfest on New York City's black owned WBLS-FM.

Ironically, the main character of the book is a controversial radio broadcaster that many love to hate -- much like Williams.  And yes, that is the brazen broadcasting veteran donning the fur and the baubles on the book's cover.

Williams, who has written three previous books -- and landed on the 'New York Times' best-seller's list-- and also hosts a late night talk show on VH1, has talks about this exciting book series all the time on her radio show.

So it's something that her loyal legion of listeners have been patiently awaiting since the first book was released last summer.

What I can reveal --in a very topical and diplomatic fashion-- is that the new forthcoming book will chronicle Harper's chaotic dating lifewhich includes a dalliance with her best friend Tracee  (HOW U DOINNNNNNNNNNN?) and a budding romance with a man whose family background "shocks the shock jock."

I'm not even going to wonder if life is imitating art, but…

…it gets even juicier:

Harper's family life is hot mess when she suffers the loss of a beloved relative and spends money on lawsuits and bodyguards to fend off someone from her past.

Just reading about it, sounds like a bit much, doesn't it?

Written with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Karen Hunter (Williams' longtime writing partner), 'Is The Bitch Dead' is rife with dirt, scandal and drama, many readers will be left wondering where the fictional Ritz Harper ends and the real life Wendy Williams begins.

A proposed book tour, visiting such cities as New York, Atlanta, Detroit, St. Louis  and Chicago, is being solidified at press time.

I love Wendy Williams! She is always straight and to the point. I listen in on Power 99 fm and watch her show on VH1. If you can't stand Wendy, try to stay out of her path cause you will be talked about, good or bad.
    HOW U DOINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN

first, as an impartial fan I'd like to tell the haters that Wendy Williams is a very accomplished black woman and if you're ashamed to be called an American due to the fact that she has fans such as myself and a plethora of others, you have issues.  straight up.
second, if you paid any attention to Wendy you'd know that she knows she's a mess, and she's the first to admit it!  you're not telling her something she doesn't already know, so step off.
third, the series is very entertaining, as is her radio show.  but if you can't appreciate the radio show then you really can't appreciate the book because it's as outlandish and dramatic as she is.

in conclusion, I think that especially in the spirit of Black History Month, it's important to show support for our people of color who have done things that most would see as unimaginable.

That is all.  Happy Valentine's Day!

Whatever happened to the saying: "It is better to be seen and not heared? Wendy is a loud mouth trash talking gossiper, It truely makes you wonder how much business she would have of her own, If she wasnt scouring around town looking to get into someone else's............Like others have said you should comment on what you think about others wendy... Not if you are looking the way that you do...You have enough money to fix yourself up better than you do........

Further more do something about those imperfect ways as far as the words coming from your mouth, and those worst dressed fashion statements you so desperately try to make.....
They only make you seen as less than you already make yourself......

wow it's sad that soooo many are fueled by untruth and garbage.  the fact that she has fans really shows where the mindset of Americans are at and I am ashamed to even be called an American.

Wendy is my girl!  I am originally from the boogie down and have moved to NC.  Everytime I hit the turnpike I am searching desperately for her on the radio.  I guess you have to be from the NY radio crowd to love and appreciate Wendy. I  have been addicted since HOT 97 days.  It doesn't matter what she looks like.  It matters what she says and does.  She's up front and I love it!!!  Sistagirl pulls no shots.  Wendy, get WBLS back on BroadcastUrban so I can hear you girl!!!!
