Feeling Sad
Long Time Coming
As a club we had the honor of participating in a young club members funeral for his families sake. The family are new members when tragedy struck their family. Their 12 year old son which I never got to meet suddenly dies of a brain tumor that was seated on his pituatary gland. He complained to his mother that he was having headaches. She took him to the doctor that treated him with medication. He was rushed to the emergency hospital one night and died there. This is what small towns deal with when it comes to good medical help.
My heart goes out to any mother who has to see their young children die.
This is a pic of our bikes lined up with the american flag to escort the funeral to the resting place of our fallen child.
We are caring him to his resting place
Family and friends
How do you comfort a grieving mother. I had no words for her but a great big hug. There is no comfort at the time.
The funeral was held in a very small town which they lived in. It was at the High School Gymnasium and all his classmates and teachers were there including the school orchestra which he played the Saxaphone in.
This is the hardest funeral I have been to because "CHILDREN" were crying for their fallen friend.
This year has started really bad and it seems it just keeps getting worse as the months march on.
We had another brother go down 2 weeks ago on some gravel and he is still in the hospital waiting for the swelling to go down so his ankle can be worked on.
I wish my other friends would come out of their comas. But then maybe I don't if they come out of them all mentally mangled.
On a good note though, I got my seeds sown in pots in my greenhouse to make started plants. I hope they grow big and strong and produce good veggies since everything in the store is so outrageously priced. We really don't get very good produce out here in Tim Buck Two anyway.
I know that boy is in a better place though. That is our hope.
