Chickens

New update on our chickens! We found a spot where they are laying eggs in the yard and they are not eatting them anymore!!! I washed up 5 beautiful brown eggs to fry up in the pan. Now they are my friends LOL. Just kidding. They are eatting pesty bugs all over the yard too which plague us every spring.
They are the natural way for pest control.

Off to work I go.

    Oh, I always pick up the brown organic eggs in the store.  They are so pretty. I can't imagine eating one that is THAT fresh.   yummo!   Anne

    They were probably lacking something in their diet that made them eat the eggs. Did you know you are supposed to leave one egg in the nest for them to lay there again? We used to call it the nest egg on the farm. Helen
