Away for the weekend

I love this photo I took of a peacock feather. I inverted it for the different colors.
We are taking off in our van to go westward to Centeral Oregon. Bend is a really nice city and my daughter lives just 15 minutes outside of there on a mini ranch.
We will be able to do shopping like we can't do in our dinky little town. I can't wait. I am tired of trying to buy shoes on the internet. I have to be able to try them on.
Our pooches can go too.

Oh yeah the chickens are back on the farm we got them from. No more chickens flying the coop! Yeah! I will miss the fresh eggs though.

The little dogs are getting a new home. That ole lady just wasn't taking care of them properly.

Got to get to work now.

Ain't it the truth!!! Oh yeah, I don't need a man. They prove to be out for their selfs pretty much.

I ranted now and it is done.

What a weird day today. Let's see. Our chickens decided the other side of the fence was greener. How many times today did I chase those things? 3 times. Before I went to work even though I thought this was the last day of my vacation. Oh no I got called with the company wondering why I didn't show up to work. I got there a half hour late. What a rude awaking that was! Shit,I was sitting on my front porch in my sundress drinking my cup of coffee. I was pissed at myself this time.
While I was sitting on the porch and chickens made a break for it the dogs next door saw all the commotion and opened their gate to their pen and took off down the friggin street!
We also have two male min-pins and a parakeet to watch for an old lady that is stranded up in Washington at her grandaughters. Oh yeah till she gets her next Social Security check, her way of having a vacation from her other grandson who lives with her.
Is this the animal farm?
I think I need to take off on my bike and get some air.

I stalled long enough. My ole man "A" has asked me off and on to go see a friend who is laying in a hospital bed at her best friends home waiting to die. I was never really close with her I guess. My husband came between us. He kept her to his self and she to him. I guess they had more in common.
I had a lot emotions to work through.
I finally was lead to go and see her.
She is dying of cancer.
I am so glad I finally went.
She was so surprised to see me, I knew she would. She is still coherent and can say single words, just not sentences. She blinked her eyes and shook her head when she say me. I reached out and took her had. She smiled.
I couldn't let her die thinking I disliked her, which I didn't, I just couldn't understand why I couldn't be in the circle with the two of them.
We stayed until she fell asleep. She has just started using Morphine drops by the mouth now.
Be at peace my friend, I am now.
I will see you on the otherside.

Book Worm

My daughter In-or-Out Law told me about this really kewl website if your a book reader or just want to get into trading books, this is the place to go.
What you are doing is trading out books. You get points for all the books you send out with a minimal book fee at the post office. You can mooch books you want from a person that wants to get rid of books. Or you can make a wish list and when the book becomes available the website sends you an email to you. It is alot of fun and a great way to get books for almost nothing.
A great way to send on books you have just collecting dust on your shelf.
Personally, I have sent off so far 5 books and I have recieved 5 books.

My Dog Taz

This is Mr. Taz man

One day about the 8th of this month this dog who is full of Piss and Vinegar woke up in the morning totally blind. We noticed when he couldn't make it out of our bedroom because he was walking into walls and furniture.
We waved our hands over the front of his face and he didn't even blink or move his head. We were devastated and felt so helpless.
We waited a few days and he just didn't get any better so we too him to the vet for the bad news.
We couldn't stand to think of him blind for the rest of his life since he is only 6 years old.
We go to a wonderful German Veterinarian and he loves Taz because he speaks his language. How does Taz do that you say? My ole man speaks German to him and Spanish to our other dog Tusa. Yes I had to learn the commands to, lol.
The vet gave us some antibiotics and an eye ointment and told us to come back the following week. We did.
He was really happy since his eye swelling was going down and the blood at the back of his eyes were disappearing. He thinks he got hit in the head to produce this type of blindness. We really don't know what happened. Did someone kick him or did he fall down our stairs. He has such long legs they kinda get tangled up sometimes and make him clumsy.
To make a long story short.
Last week he could see again. How much we couldn't tell but he was watching birds and squirrels again and could find the door too! He is progressively getting better now, thank the Lord.
I noticed he doesn't do so well at night. He can't see but hey at least he won't jump the fence and take off like he used to.
At first we were considering putting him down but not any more. I am so glad we waited to see what the vet could do for him and
The vet is on vacation now in Africa climbing Mt.Kilimanjaro

One more day till the rally, I just pray there is no one hurt on their bike this year. Too many had bad accidents and one even lost his life.

As The World Turns:
Like sands in the glass these are the daze of our lives.

As I was walking out to get a fresh egg I found one busted open in the grass with all the good runny stuff gone. What in the world? Then I realized what has been happening. My poor chickens were being blamed and they were only the victums.

Yes! The squirrels have been eating them unless we get to them first.
Now I am mad, we have varmints!!!! Those cute little squirrels are taking my eggs. It is them or me and by golly I mean for it to be me.
When I hear the chickens clucking loudly in the morning I am there grabbing the egg now.
Which came first, the chicken or the egg? I did
