I am sorry that I have not been around lately, but I have been working alot. I put in 50 hours last week, and I was sick two days....so if it wasn't for me being sick those days, I would have had more hours. Friday I get my first check....I am so ready for it. I had to work all those hours due to inventory and that store was a mess....everything was priced wrong. We finally got it all done and organized very well....We did pass our inventory. We are so glad of that. Since Inventory is over my hours will be part time now, so I will be around more. Even though AOL Journals is going away end of the month....So, where is everyone going to move too?

Well, I hate to cut this short, because I could write a whole lot more, but I have to leave for work now, so I can stop and get me something to eat on the way. I do not have to go in til 12:30 tomorrow afternoon, so I will write another one tomorrow....if not tomorrow, I am off Friday, I will be back again.

Hearing Shay Texting Me...LOL

                                                

Okay, I am here with another entry. I am sorry that I did not do an entry yesterday. Shay and I got together and had lunch, and then we decided to go ahead and clean the  church up since it was our turn. Normally we would do it on a Saturday, but she is going to be out of town and I have to work from open to close on Saturday. It left us out from cleaning on Saturday.

My first day on the job was fun. I was the head cashier for that day...I had a backup if I needed her for anything. We work on stocking and cleaning up the store....that store is a mess, but it is looking a whole lot better now than what it did.

I was suppose to been off yesterday, but around 3:30 pm, I got a text telling me to come in to work. I told them that I could not come in until my hubby got home, because I had already informed my babysitter that I was off that day, so she had made other plans. I finally got to work at 5:30 and got home a little after 8:30 last night. I remembered while I was at work that the kids had a project to do. If they turned it in today, then they would have extra points on test today. We finally got it done around 10. Thank God, it wasn't a lot to do on this project.

Today is another work day for me.....9am-7pm tonight. I hope it goes by fast today, because I am sick, but I don't want to call in, because I just started on Wednesday and we are getting the store ready for inventory next week. The District Manager and Another Manager from another store is here helping us get the store straighten up for inventory next week. They are having everybody to work this weekend.

Monday and Tuesday's are mandatory days.....everybody works. Our truck comes in on Monday Morning, and then all that day and Tuesday, we will be putting out stock. I have a meeting at my kids school at 11:00 Monday, but my manager told me to come in after that.

I need to be going and trying to find what I am going to wear today and also, what I am going to take for lunch. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Well, I can say that I am a working woman again...lol. I have not worked since February when we closed the pet shop down, that I was managing. Today is a new beginnning for me.

About 3 months ago, I applied for a job at our local Family Dollar. I went in two weeks ago and did my esteem test (very tricky test), drug test and they ran my background check on me. Well, on Monday, I got a text telling me to be there Tuesday Morning at 10am to do my paper work. Well, I got there yesterday morning, did my paperwork, and the assistant manager showed me different things. Then we went over the schedule. I work 9-3 today and I am very nervous....lol. I don't know why, because I have done this kind of work before. I guess it has been so long, since I actually work...lol.

I am use to staying home, but I needed to get out of the house. This job will do this for me and it will also be bringing in extra money every two weeks. Which that will help us out a lot.

Oh yes, by the way, my assistant manager.....well, her mom and sister goes to my church lol. And yesterday she was asked to move up to the manager position at that store. I am hoping she will take it, because she is really working with me on my schedule around my church nights.

Well, wish me luck today. I have a few more things I need to get done before I have to start getting ready for work. I am off tomorrow, so I will be writing about my first day on the job tomorrow.

Good Morning everyone. I am going to start off by telling you all about our wonderful trip this past weekend. We decided to go to Pascagoula for the weekend, to meet my step-daughter and her family. We got up early Saturday Morning and left out. Our son-in-law had to work both days that we were there, but we did have fun, just getting away for the weekend, we needed the break. I took some pics that I wanted to share with you all. Most of the ones that I am sharing is from the Beach Sunday. We all got cooked lol. On to the pics.....hope you enjoy.

Good Morning. Last night was open house at the schools and guess what we got to pick up????????Progress Reports. Tabitha had all A's & B's. She had a 100/A+ in Sight Words. She was really thrilled about that. I also found out that she does not want to go outside and play at break time. She ask her teacher everyday if she could stay in and read her library books, so she lets her. Normally the ones that stays in is the ones that does not complete their class work before breaks...well, she does let her stay in and read.

Dakota did not have such good grades, but his teacher told me that he was really improving in school, it was too late for this progress report. Hopefully by report card time, he will have better grades. Needless to say, my husband grounded him from his bicycle that he got for his birthday. I think he will have it on weekends, but not during the week...until his grades improve. So, instead of them riding the bus before school this morning, guess what we did....studied for tests. Today is test day. He knew everything that I called out to him this morning. So, just pray that he will continue to do better.

He does have an appointment to be tested for ADHD on September 25th. So, maybe that will help him some.

Well, I am going to end here...got to catch up on emails and do some psp things. So, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. We are talking about going out of town tomorrow...it depends on the weather. Have a good one.

Well, I don't know what is going on with my son, but this week he has been different. He came home Monday from school...came to the kitchen table, and was ready to do homework. Same thing happened yesterday. Now we are talking about a 9 year old boy, that always gave us problems doing homework, we practically had to keep a switch by him, so he would do homework. I don't know what is happening, but I am very excited about it. My little girl is always the first one to get done with writing spelling words...well, before we got her stuff ready for her to start....my son was already done with his. My little girl started crying, because he beat her this time. We studied Sight Words, Spelling, Reading, High Frequency words....we was done in an hour doing all of that, where it usally would take us til 6 or after to do it. I just hope he keeps this up. Oh yes, he even went to church last night, telling everyone that he loves school. Please tell me what happened to my son....lol.

Tomorrow night (Thursday), we have Open House to go to...we also pick up progress reports. Tabitha (my daughter) came home and told me that their teacher called out everyone's name that has a good progress report (no D's or F's). She told me that she even called out Dakota's name....so I am so anxious to see his progress report. Tabitha said, that she has all A's and B's (which that does not suprise me, because she has been honor roll student since she has started to school).

Well, I am going to get off of here and do some work in psp. I have been doing alot more things in my AOL Group this week. Plus my Yahoo group also. I have already checked my AOL mail, but I am sure I have somemore by now...lol.

Hearing Enjoying the Peace and Quiet

Well, it is Monday Morning once again. I have been up since 6am, got kids up and ready for school. After they left this morning, I got on the computer, and I have gotten all of my emails read, I have read journals, and now I am writing one....lol.

I am going to take it easy today, not like I didn't do that last week with being sick and everything, but anyway. I am going to work some in PSP. Speaking of PSP, if anyone has a Fall Tree Tube, I am really looking for one. I am trying to put together a fall picture, and I need a tree. After I am done here, I am going to go and try to find me some different fall tubes. I have a few that I have snagged from the groups that I am in, but I would still like to find some more.

When the kids get's home from school, straight to homework. Normally on Monday's they get to come home and play outside and take a break before homework. Well, tonight we have Communion Service at our church...I really didn't want to go tonight, but hubby wants too, so it means that we have to get homework done early today. It is making us have three services this week....Communion Service, Tomorrow is church night, and then Thursday Night is Youth Service. That means that the kids will only have Wednesday to play before homework. Poor ME!!!!!LOL. Kids goes to school all day, I feel like instead of coming home rushing into homework, they need to have some free time, you know....then homework.

I am not sure yet, it all depends on Hurricane IKE, but we are planning a trip this weekend to go and see my stepdaughter, her husband and their baby. and they just got their on place, so they have invited us down for the weekend....we need a weekend away. Normally we go places during the summer, but not this year, because we moved our trailer and then we didn't have the money after we got everything hooked up. Like I said, all of that depends on the weather.

Well, I am going to stop right there and get ready to work in PSP for a little while. I hope you all have a nice and wonderful day. I am going to try my best to stay caught up on emails and journals. Bye for now.

Hello Everyone, sorry that I have not been here for a while doing a journal entry, but I have been sick and have had a lot going on.

First of the week, we had some bad weather due to Hurricane Gustav. It rained all the way up til Wednesday. We had to leave our trailer a couple of times, because we was under Tornado Warnings. We went to our church and hung out.

I got sick on Tuesday and just now getting where I am feeling better. I was having some female problems and on top of that....I think I had a kidney infection. I was hurting in both of my sides very bad. I still get little pains, but not near as bad as it was. I was crying the whole week with it.

Well, the kids was out of school for Labor Day on Monday, out of school Tuesday due to the weather, Wednesday they went to school, and while we was doing homework and getting ready to start studying for test, well, my son-in-law called and wanted us to come over there while they was in town, becaue they had moved and was down here getting some more of their stuff, so we didn't get home until after 10 that night. The kids finished homework and then went straight to bed. Well, Thursday was suppose to been youth service at church for us, but the since the kids did not get to study for test on Wednesday, we decided to stay home and study for tests. They only studied one night, so I hope they did good on their tests. I will know tomorrow for sure.

Friday Night, we had to go to Hattiesburg, and pay a couple of bills...They turned our house phone off Friday Morning, knowing we was going to pay the bill as soon as my husband got off...they get on my nerves...lol. We ended up going to eat and then going over to my step-sons house to visit with our grandbaby. I was hurting so bad that I laid on the bed and went to sleep.

Saturday Morning, I got up feeling a whole lot better. I did laundry, checked a lot of emails and went and bought groceries, did my church stuff for this morning.

This morning, I got up at 8am, took my shower. Got dressed for church. I made eggs and toast for breakfast. After church, we had ham and turkey sandwiches with chips and dip. I got clothes off of the line and folded them up, and got them put up. Then I got on the computer and writing this journal. Got to be back at church in three hours.

Guess, I am going to end here for now. I will be back tomorrow...after all, I will be home by myself tomorrow. Bye for now.

Hope everyone has had a Happy Monday. Mine was okay. I got up and got my kids off to school this morning. After they left, I got a load of clothes washing and signed on to the internet. I read some of one of my psp groups emails and then I worked some on my other psp group. I have mainly be picking out different tubes today, to use in some of the challenges.

I also started working on a coaster set. I do plastic canvasing and it felt good getting back into it. I haven't been doing it here lately because I have been trying to learn psp....lol. All of my attention has been on psp instead of canvasing. I have the outside done of them, now, I just have to go and fill in the middle parts of it. I will take pics to share when I am done with them.

I also made appointments for my son. He goes tomorrow at 3:40pm to see his regular doctor due to his cold....it is a bad one! He needs some meds for it. I also made several phone calls today, asking about ADHD and Dyslexia Testing. I have found one place that does both test. She is sending me an application to fill out, and then I am suppose to mail it back in to her and when she get's it, she will give me a call and set up an appointment with him. I am hoping that he can get help through all of this. I was getting ready to go back to work, but what is the use, until after all of this is over with. Just keep him in your prayers.

Last weeks Test Papers. On Monday, they bring home last Friday's test papers. Well, my son had all F's, but on the very back....he had a 100 and a 97. They had retested him on two tests.  Well, what happened is, when he was in his class...he made the F's. So, when he got into his tutoring class...well, he was in there by hisself...well, guess what...he made those A's, because he was not around a whole group of people that was distracting him. They are talking about pulling him out of class on test days to test him by hisself, where he will not have the distractions.

Homework tonight. Well, I still can't believe it...lol. He got his spelling words done, and then he came up to me and asked me if I would call his spelling words out. I said, sure son...of course, I will. I called his spelling out....he missed about three out of 16 words. I cannot believe it. The he said, lets go over vocabulary words which consist of 5 words....he new every one of them, then we went to sight words....he missed about 5 out of 20. Then it was reading time....well, that was when the problem came in, but he was really trying. They got started on homework around 4...but writing the spelling words in a sailboat style takes a few minutes to do with 16 words and you have to do each word twice. Well, all together we was done by 6 with everything.....that was time taking out to eat supper when my husband got home also. Please! Please! Please Pray that he will catch on really fast. TUTORING 30 minutes a day is really helping him.

My kids has been in bed for an hour now, they are always asleep 5 minutes after they lay down...lol. Hubby is watching tv and I thought I would write this, before I went to take a shower after I watch the 10:00 news. I am going to end this for the night. I will keep you all updated on my son.

Hearing Washer and dryer

 

It is a wet and dreary day here in Mississippi. Tropical Storm Faye has made it's entrance...lol. They are predicting rain for us just about all week. That is not good.

Well, we was up just about all night with our son. He is real bad congested, sneezing...etc. Since I have to take him to the doctor this week anyway, I will go ahead and have him seen about that too...I really don't want him to miss school. I got some medicine here that I have been giving him in the meantime.

We went to Sunday School this morning. Afterwards we had to go and get some dog and cat food. Then we came home and I made some grill cheese sandwiches for lunch. Then I got started on doing laundry, swept my kitchen floor, put up some clothes...and been folding as I take them out of the dryer. I just got my supper started...Shake & Bake Pork Chops, Broccoli & Cheese, Macoroni & Cheese, and some cornbread. I got my porkchops in the oven cooking now, and my broccoli on...and when I am done here, I am going to get rest of it on. I decided that I would cook before church tonight, since ate light at lunch.

Tomorrow, I will be calling making appointments for my son to be seen. He has to be tested for ADHD and Dyslexia, as I mentioned in my last entry. I am really worried about this. If anyone can tell me anything about this problem, please let me know. My husband is against him having to take medicine all the time if it comes down to this, but if it would help my child in school and calm him down some, I am for it. My son has failed two grades like it is. He is suppose to be in fourth and he is in second. I don't want him to fail anymore. Just pray for us that when I take him to be tested that everything will be okay.

Well, I am going to close here, so I can get rest of  my supper done, and we can eat before church tonight. I will try to write  again tomorrow. Have a nice Sunday.
