This day in history: November 24, 1963

Forty one years ago today, in the basement of Dallas Police Department headquarters, justice was served.

Rough justice, certainly.

Justice in an instant karma's gonna get you, what goes around comes around kind of way.

Nevertheless...

Justice.

THAT photo is so misleading. What is known to those "in the know" is that Oswald, a sympathetic vocalist at heart, was right in the middle of belting out a final verse of that old Jolson classic" Rock a' Bye Baby With a Dixie Melody" when a highly aggravated Ruby had had enough and pulled his pistol, as he would say later"Just to shut that guy up". And that he did. If you are in doubt, just simply look at Oswald's face in mid- high note of the tune, BEFORE the final shot came taht came moments later!! Further proof is that even his police escort was taken aback by the off key Oswald note as is shown in the photo. The rest is history.
