Every year, Sports Illustrated asks its readers to select the Sportsman of the Year. The voting is going on now, and one of the candidates is former Arizona Cardinals defensive back Pat Tillman.
In 2002, Tillman left the relative safety of the NFL to join the Army, to serve his country in time of war.
This past April, Tillman was killed in a firefight during Operation Mountain Storm in southeastern Afghanistan.
