There can be only one


There can be only one,

and there will never be another.

Whether it be a mother's son,

or a daughter's mother.

If it be a winter wind,

or the rays of the hottest sun.         

Of everything, that is on this earth,

there can be only one.

They say that in time,

I will learn to love another,

just be patient, and I will find someone.

I just look at them and smile,

and say "yeah, maybe so."

But deep inside my heart,

the truth I really know.

There can be only one.
