The Story of Ice

This ice storm hit and then all was quiet. It was a day of stillness. Dare we venture to go outside. It is a must. The dog still needs to go out. Nugget let's go and make it quick.

As I walk along the fence line I see my tree weighted down with ice. It's liimbs are touching the ground hugging my camper that is my office. I am thankful that none of it's branches are broken. In fact I touch one and it is strong. Amazed at God's creation I thank HIm for the safety He has encircled my home with.

A branch that seems dead hangs over my 5th wheel where I live. "Father, if it has to come down, please let it come down in small pieces" This is my desire to God. A few minutes later I hear the sound of falling pieces. I look out and see small pieces of branch hit the ground from above my 5th wheel. This happens two more times and I thank God that that branch did not come crashing down on us all at one time. Did it happen by coinsidence or by answered prayer? Hhmmn, think on these things as the day goes by.

Come late evening a gentel rain so quiet and peaceful you could hardly even notice it's presence. Come morning, the leaves are blowing. No more in a frozen state of heaviness. Branches are released from the weight that held them down to the ground. An amazing sight to see and through it all I say to my Father, thank you for the release of the ice that held my trees so coldly. And what does our Father who in love and wisdom answer back to me...

The trees are my children that stand tall and strong. They will not be bbroken but they have problems. The ice is the weight of stress and anxiety that traps and encompasses my children and weighs them down so heavily. If only my children would let me shower over them with my Holy Spirit I could take all their stress and anxiety from them if they would just give it too me. Let me shower them with my love and they will indeed raise their arms up and reach for me in praise for I hear them. No bondage for that which is of me.

I loved the message. I thank God for His wisdom and knowledge. Trust in the LORD and do not lean upon your own understanding. Read Proverbs 3 slowly and ask God to speak to you. He will in that most innner voice of love and guidance, He will make himself heard. Let him who has ears hear.
