As i've matured... here are the things i learned....

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is stalk them and hope they panic and give in...
I've learned that one good turn gets most of the blankets.
I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people are just jackasses.
I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and it only takes suspicion, not proof, to destroy it.
I've learned that whatever hits the fan will not be evenly distributed.
I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to others - they are more screwed up than you think.
I've learned that depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
I've learned that it is not what you wear; it is how you wear it.
I've learned to not sweat the petty things, and not pet the sweaty things. I've learned age is a very high price to pay for maturity.
I've learned that I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy it.
I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, unless we are celebrities.
I've learned that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
I've learned that 99% of the time when something isn't working in your house, one of your kids did it.
I've learned that there is a fine line between genius and insanity.
I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon and all the less important ones just never go away. And the real pains in the ass are permanent.

Been a busy weekend. Had lots of work to do and "social life" to attend to. Somehow, i feel like i'm so wasted and exhausted, but i try to compensate by thinking that my baby is gonna be coming out in a few minutes to give me a bundle of joy. oh, i really can't wait to be a mom soon!

i finally met marc's older sister and her hubby. they're actually fun to be with, jolly and always full of energy. marc's "Ate" is sweet. they must have gotten their genes from their mom, because mama zeny couldn't be sweeter than anyone else. i'm so glad to be part of their family.

right now, i'm reading an e-mail sent to me by BabyCentre.. i'm on my 11the week today and this is what they told me about the little angel inside me..

The fetus is only about 2 to 3 inches / 5 to 7 centimetres long from crown to rump and weighs less than half an ounce / 14 grams. Even so, it's busily swallowing and kicking. Each day more minute details start to appear, such as fingernails and peach-fuzzy hair. Your baby has tiny fingernails now and the ability to kick, swallow, and move. That's quite impressive for someone who's only the size of a lipstick case. That will change soon; within the next few weeks, your featherweight child should double in size. You may notice your clothes getting tighter as your uterus is now almost big enough to fill your pelvis.

ok, that explains why lately i can no longer fit into my denim pants.. i used to feel sexy when i slip on 'em but now, i'm having a hard time breathing. gosh.. even if i feel like i lost weight, i think i still gained 2 inches on my waistline. by next week, i'll be donning maternity clothes na.. wow, that's exciting!!!

today is my husband's birthday. haven't asked him lately what he wants for his special day because i've been busy at work... when i told him about it this morning, he said, i don't have to buy him a gift since he already got what he wished for... and that's our baby!!! ahh.. that was sweet!!!



i had my pre-natal check up three days ago and my OB said, my baby is in good shape.. i had the ultrasound and i saw my baby's heart beating.. i got excited!!! marc and i immediately told our parents about it and they're also excited to see their first grandchild.. oh my.. 7 more months and i'm gonna be a mom!!i'm really excited for this baby.. lately i've been getting longer sleep than before.. my OB said it's one of the causes of pregnancy and there's nothing to worry about, just continue taking vitamins and fruits.. i really hope that my baby will come out healthy and fine..

back to my honey's bday.. we just decided to invite our friends over at the house and have some good time eating tonight. i wish they'd be able to come so we'll have fun..

to my dearest honey, i only want you to know that i'll always be loving you until the end of time... mwah!!

I almost forgot about the Oscars when i was cooking breakfast at our house.. it was already 9:30am when i remembered that the an hour-delayed telecast of the Oscars (here in the philippines) is going to be aired today.. so i immediately finished my recipe for lunch and headed right in front of the TV at 10. so far, i was able to catch some red carpet fashion moments and my eyes were glued at Hally Berry's stunning iridescent taupe silk-chiffon Versace gown with embroidered skirt. she's really gorgeous!!! i wonder how and when am i gonna have a body like hers.. hehehe..

anyway, i noticed that i was actually after the fashion trend for this year's Oscars.. funny how i focused my attention on the gowns worn by Cate Blanchett and Hilary Swank instead of the awards that were given to them.. yet when the Best Picture category was announced, i was literally looking wide-eyed & mouth dropping because my bet, The Aviator was not chosen.. Instead, the Oscat wen to Million Dollar Baby by Clint Eastwood. in case you're wondering, yeah i'm a big Leonardo fan so i was devastated when he didn't get any award (including the Best Actor nod which went to Jamie Foxx)... oh well, you win some, you lose some, that's what the old lineage say... anyway, i still think Leo did a great job portraying eccentric billionaire industrialist and Hollywood film mogul, Howard Hughes. Kudos to Leo and Martin Scorsese for a job well done..

ok, so much for this Hollywood brouhahaha.. time for the real thing. today, marc and I had our hair cut. we went to Enji's Beauty Haven and had Enji work his magic on our manes. haven't found time doing beauty regimen for the past week so i decided to get a hair makeover.. after an hour, i was satisfied with my sleek layered look and marc looked more dashingly handsome to my eyes, hehehe.. now i felt like i was among those who walked along the Red Carpet at the Oscars a while ago.. hahaha! charing!

ok have to go back to work.. it's getting cold in here at the office actually.. i wonder why my coach decided to lower the temperature whent he atmosphere was already okay..haayyy...

Hello!!after a week of not being able to blog, here i am again... i miss you all so much!! thanks for always checking on me when you have time..

actually, i've been away for almost a week because i got sick and had allergic rhinitis. at first, i thought, it was just simple colds.. then i got chills all over and had been sneezing the whole 2 days. i've also been nauseous for the past few days and i throw up when i eat. so i told my doc about this and she had a check-up on me.. guess what!!

she gave me one of the most beautiful news i've ever heard.. i am actually pregnant!! yipee.. after 4 months of trying, finally, marc and I are gonna be parents.. based on the first day of my last monthly visit, my OB told me that i'm now 10 weeks on the way... oh my! so that's the reason why i had been swell every morning. maybe my mistake was, i didn't expect this blessing yet so i wasn't able to do some pregnancy test for the last month.. and last thursday, when i had my check-up, i did the test and turned out positive!! i'm really very happy and fulfilled.

by the way, thanks to my friends who wished me well when i was not feeling fine... muchas gracias: Meg & Jersey Girl.. you're really sweet friends.... also thanks to Laurene who appears to have a new URL for her new blog... and also to Datch who's always been supportive and a true advocate of friendship... and to my CUTEmates, sowee if i was a little agitated and grumpy the other day, i was really not feeling good at that time.. i know i was about to collapse but im so thankful to Lyn & Crissy who helped me on my feet.. and thanks to your prayers, Mervin, Naomi, Jeng, Erra, Mike, Ryan Dale,Jonathan and Bryan.. you guys are great... and to the soon-to-be mommies, Shawie & Helen, thanks for the pieces of advice.. i owe you guys a lot..

last night, my honey woke me up at exactly 12midnight to kiss me & greet me a Happy Valentine... not contented with that, he even sent me a text message saying,

"Hon, actually i don't believe in Valentine's coz it only happens once a year.. where in fact, everyday is heart's day when i'm with you.. iloveyousomuch!"

awww!!! how sweet is that!! i giggled on my bed thinking he was beside me.. but when i found out that he was still awake and went to the library to check on his webproject, i decided not to disturb him. i just pretended i was fast asleep but an idea churned on my mind..

morning came and he was still sleeping like a child. so i silently went to our terrace and cut some colored paper and did some craft... *actually, i'm really fond of doing home made crafts such as birthday or valentine cards* for half an hour, i finished a Valentine pop-up crafted card and i was satisfied with it.. i hid it on my office folder and planned to give it to him at a later time. i went back to our bedroom and gave him a kiss before i started with my chores.. i swear i saw a small smile flashed on his cheek when i kissed him while he was "sleeping", hehehe..

anyway, we had lunch date on one of our fave restaurants, Max's. i decided not to have a date at night since we know there are already a lot of couples dining at that time.. anyway, marc made our lunch date extra special when he handed me three red roses on a box with a red balloon that say's ... i know this sounds mushy and corny, but i was really blushing when he gave them to me.. in return, i gave him the pop-up card I made... he showed me his sweetest smile afterwards and then we kissed...

love is really in the air.. even here, while i'm at work, everyone is wearing Red and in every corner, i see couples exchanging knowing looks of love.. me? well, i paraded the flower and balloon i got from my dear honey and the never goes away from my face.. it's gonna stay there until tomorrow, i guess.. hehe.. it really feels good to be in love.. hope everyone stays in love today and always.. Since tomorrow is gonna be Valentine's Day, i decided to look for more information about its history.. i got this article from kidsdomain.com.. i'm learning more and more each day! read on...

Every February we celebrate Valentines Day by giving flowers, candy and cards to those we love. We do this in honor of Saint Valentine. You may be wondering, "Who is St. Valentine"?

Legend has it that Valentine was a priest who served during third century Rome. There was an Emperor at that time by the name of Claudius II. Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those that were married. With this thought in mind he outlawed marriage for young men in hopes of building a stronger military base. Supposedly, Valentine, decided this decree just wasn't fair and chose to marry young couples secretly. When Emperor Claudius II found out about Valentine's actions he had him put to death.

Another legend has it that Valentine was an imprisoned man who fell in love with his jailor's daughter. Before he was put to death he sent the first 'valentine' himself when he wrote her a letter and signed it 'Your Valentine', words still used on cards today.

Perhaps we'll never know the true identity and story behind the man named St. Valentine, but this much is for sure...February has been the month to celebrate love for a long time, dating clear back to the Middle Ages. In fact, Valentines ranks second only to Christmas in number of greeting cards sent.

Another valentine gentleman you may be wondering about is Cupid (Latin cupido, "desire"). In Roman mythology Cupid is the son of Venus, goddess of love. His counterpart in Greek mythology is Eros, god of love. Cupid is often said to be a mischievous boy who goes around wounding both gods and humans with his arrows, causing them to fall in love. 

ahh... that was so sweet... thanks to these people, at least once a year, all of us are in love and know how to be loved.. here's a hundred kisses for all of you... mwaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!
