Redick, You Suck Again!
Redick has a history of sucking in the Tournament, but I think last night was his all time worst (or best, if you're a Duke-Hater like myself) choke job.
J.J. tied his season low with just 11 points, which is pretty bad considering the team lives and dies by whether or not he scores 25+ points. But that stat isn't nearly as ugly as this one: 3 for 18 from the field. Three for f'ing 18! Let me do the math for you; that's 16%.
I think it's safe to say you can pin this loss directly on the head of Redick, and J.J. can forget about winning player of the year. Morrison may have lost last night as well, but at least he showed up for the game (24 points, 10-17 from the field).

• Sportz Assassin documents Redick's tendency to blow it in big games: "J.J. Redick was 10 for 38 shooting [27%] during last year's NCAA Tournament. He was 18 for 64 shooting [29%] during his last 5 NCAA Tournament games. He was a darn good 17-of-34 heading into this game....but ended with a 3-of-18 game that put him at a 2006 tourney average of 39%. Thank God he got all those Duke and ACC scoring records since he won't end it with a National Championship."

• FOX Sports gets in on the action as they more or less make the same points as Sportz Assassin. It's worth checking out if just to see the photo of a very sad McRobets, Redick, Melchionni (what a no talent) and Sheldon.

Honestly, the way I came upon this picture/article was to find a picture of JJ to put on the background of my computer because he is adored by my entire family. I just WISH I knew enough about computers to post some goofy picture of Tyler Hansbrough up here. Trust me, there's plenty.
Really, I cringe every time I see JJ bashed by some picture that an envious person posts. Why all the hate? Are you the type of person who would trip the prom queen? I realize that most of the population hates Redick because he's so extremely talented, but give me a break. Just because someone is good at what they do doesn't mean that you have the right to bash them. Do you really think that he's going to read, "Redick, You Suck Again!" and think, "Oh, damnit, I SUCK!"? Yeah, I really think that if anyone posting hate messages affected him, he wouldn't be the ALL TIME LEADING SCORER IN THE ACC. Forget it buddy, he doesn't care.
As for his last game, no kidding he didn't play well, but apparently he didn't give the 200% he usually does. Hey, everyone has their off nights, especially when they're being guarded as heavily as Redick was.
Either way, Redick is a talented and handsome basketball player that's actually graduating and earning a degree from an extremely respected university. Congrats to the players that jumped into the NBA and are earning big bucks, but JJ's loyalty to his team, talent, and good looks are what makes him most attractive, and probably why he's most hated. -
Did anybody see the thing on Pete Maravich before the games today? Now there was a player. He had more points than anyone in college history. That was when your freshman year didn't count, and there was no three point shot. Give him four years and the trey.......well..........!

I think, it is about time we recogonize his abiliities. He is great, whatever, you think, He did a great job for a long time, and time to stop putting him down, what he did was straight from his heart, and what he earned in all those years should tell you something about a great basketball player.
