Pink Is the New Oak

Derek Jeter's wildest dream has come true (no, not the one where him and A-Rod make their love affair public).  He will finally be able to dye his bat pink and use it in a game.

As part of a week long program to raise money for breast cancer research, a select amount of MLB players will use pink bats on Sunday.  Jeter was at the front of the sign-up line.  Others who intend to use the pink bats include Marcus Giles, David Eckstein, Kevin Mench and Jim Thome.  Thank God no one from the Rockies has agreed to use the pink lumber, because as everyone knows, pink and purple, like, totally clash. OMG, what a fashion nightmare that would be.
