Doug Flutie Hangs 'Em Up
The best 5'10" QB of all time has decided to walk away from the game. At the age of 43, some may say Doug Flutie's retirement is a few years overdue, but I say he could easily continue to ride the bench in the NFL for at least one or two more games.
Flutie's legacy is strong as he will always be remembered for a meaningless drop kick, being short, the CFL, cereal... and oh yeah, some hail mary pass that you may have heard of. Best of luck to Flutie as he makes the transition from roaming the sidelines as a back-up to doing so as an analyst for ABC/ESPN. Hopefully he will fair better than Tino Martinez, who is actually worse on Baseball Tonight than Jeff Brantley, if you can believe that.
UPDATE: Did someone really mention Flutie and Canton in the same blog entry?

It is time,,, The man always was exciting to watch, coming from NewEngland even when he was playing for other teams you would check out the newspaper and see how Fluite did. He will be missed but it is time to say Good bye,,,we will be reading about Doug in 5 years as he enters the Football Hall of Fame. Good Luck to Doug Flutie the little engine that could.
