Okay, I'm Starting to Care
I am not a fan of the NBA. I never have been and I don't pretend to be (unless we're doing a basketball segment on SBL). In fact, the NBA is somewhere between UFC and NASCAR on my list of favorite sports, but these playoffs have my attention.
With their powers combined, NASCAR and the NBA could form the least interesting sport ever!
Well, sort of. I still watched Lost last night (Saieed is so gangsta) instead of LeBron beating the 'Sheed, but I did, however, pause Lost to watch the last 30 seconds of the game. This marks a breakthrough in my NBA fandome. As for the Mavs-Spurs game, I passed out at the half, but I did actually check to see who won when I woke up. This is far more than I can say for past NBA playoffs.
Now that we've established that I'm an NBA guru, allow me to predict that the Spurs and Pistons will still end up playing for the Championship again, and we will all go back to being bored (except for Need4Sheed; she'll just keep being hilarious). Of course I hope I'm wrong so I can continue to almost care about the two-month long playoffs. Well that, and the fact that I kind of wanna Queen James make it to the Finals and lose, just so it's that much more painful.
UPDATE: My friend Bobby has caught me in a lie (although I don't exactly recall this, so I'll assume I was drunk):
Bobrhat13 [1:14 P.M.]: you know you've watched the nba playoffs before
CMottram04 [1:15 P.M.]: ive used them as an excuse to go to a bar and get drunk, but ive never actually watched them.
Bobrhat13 [1:15 P.M.]: you went nuts when derek fisher hit that last second shot like three years ago
Bobrhat13 [1:15 P.M.]: it was at your house
Bobrhat13 [1:15 P.M.]: loser
