Frank Robinson's Man Tears

I have nothing but respect for Frank Robinson.  He is the f'ing man.  At the age of about 106, he is still a spark plug in the dugout and doesn't take crap from anyone.  Well yesterday he showed his softer side.

The Nats were forced to start their third-string catcher Matt LeCroy yesterday.  Robinson pulled LeCroy in the middle of the seventh inning after he had given up seven stolen bases and thrown two balls into the outfield. Robinson was apparently torn up about having to further embarrass LeCroy, who I'm sure already wasn't feeling too great about himself.

Big Frank broke out into tears talking about LeCroy in the post-game press conference.  Check out the videos here and here.  I love that man.  For what it's worth, LeCroy says Robinson shouldn't feel bad about it.

Oh, and the Nationals won... again.  That makes five of their last six.

He wasn't crying. Frank Robinson doesn't cry. He was so mad, his eyes were sweating.
