Aww, Poor Jeffrey Maier
1,502 MLB draft picks were made over the past two days and not one of them was named Jeffrey Maier. Good. That little bastard (well, he's actually my age now) shouldn't be allowed to step foot in a ballpark, let along play on a Major League team. Yeah, I'm bitter, I can admit it. And yeah, I know I should blame the umpire for what happened that night in '96, but Maier's a much easier target. Above all else, however, I'm just happy the O's didn't draft him.
Also not drafted was Danny Almonte, who is somewhere between the ages of 18 and 46... no one knows really. What is known is the age of his new wife: 30. Have fun with that, Danny.
