Steve McNair is finally a Raven (pending the all important physical, of course).  When I heard the news, I though to myself, "Good for them, I guess.  I mean, he's better than Boller, but so is Ryan Leaf."  Apparently Baltimore Nation is a little more fired up.

The Ravens Roost on MVN starts its most recent entry by writing, "With all of talk about Steve McNair coming here to be the guarantee to the playoffs..."  Steve McNair the ticket from 6-10 to the playoffs? I don't think so.  The Roost goes on to do a good job of comparing the 2000 Ravens defense to the 2006 D.

The Purple Curtain is somewhere between stoked to very stoked as well.  He writes, "If you aren't excited about this, check your pulse!"  I'm sure Baltimorons aren't half as excited about this as they were when they got their first late-80s Camaro or pair of purple urban camo pants, but it probably ranks up there.

Neither of these blogs seem to remember two key elements: 1) McNair hasn't played a full season since '02.  He WILL get hurt at some point and Boller will be back in there doing his best to lose games. 2) The Ravens still play in the same division as the Steelers and Bengals. Both are better teams, and I'm gonna go ahead and say Baltimore can forget about the wild card.  The AFC is just too stacked.
