Parts of Ben's Bike on Ebay

Only in the great country of America can people so easily exploit the misfortunes of others for their own personal gain.  There is already some jackass selling what he claims to be parts of Ben Roethlisberger's wrecked bike on Ebay.

The guy is selling what appears to be four pieces of metal that could've come from just about anything for a whopping ten bucks.  But really, this guy cares about Big Ben.  I mean, he did add on the auction description, "Ben; I hope everything turns out okay." Yep, a real sweetheart.

Big thanks for Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk for this link.  He will be on Sports Bloggers Live tonight with the latest on Roethlisberger's condition.

UPDATE: It has come to my attention that the Ebay listing for the bike parts seen above has been removed.  Too bad... it was fun while it lasted.

Those are not Ben's motorcycle parts. As for his contract and if this will cost him money, it won't. One of the concerns that the Steelers had last season was that they knew Big Ben rides motorcycles' and they were concerned about that but he is who he is and that will not change. Hopefully, he'll make the decision not to ride a bike again. But, it won't effect his pay or contract, because it's in his contract that he can ride if he wants to. Big Ben: I wish you the best man. But PLEASE think about those who have been in the same situation as you and not here anymore, BECAUSE OF A BAD UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT. I know myself because in 1993 I had one myself. But thanks to the BMW safety standards, I owe my legs and life to that company. - A true Steelers fan and fellow star.

We own a motorcycle dealership and the fact that the parts were put on Ebay
is pure BS.  They were probably take off parts that someone had from his
bike in his garage.  If people are that dumb to think these were the parts
    off of Ben's bike???

When there is a bike accident like this the bike is towed and stored at
the tow place for a few days until the police report is done...then the bike
usually ends up at the dealership for insurance estimates etc.   AND THAT"S
    A FACT!!!

To the poster wanting Ben to keep riding "if his new contract let's him". The standard NFL contract forbids any activity which could be considered dangerous. Motorcycles are one of them. This could cost him money.

I just rechecked the pics of the accident and the chain is still intact...and this dope put some motorcycle chain links on thinking nobody would figure it out!  I hope Ben comes out of this ok and keeps riding (if his new contract will let him) but he might want to think about a helmet... just a though...

I just checked on e-bay, and there was a sale, but it has since been cancelled either by e-bay or maybe the jerk found his heart.  This moron needs to pull his head out, true fans will not let someone like that make money of anothers misfurtune.
