Pittsburgh Likes to Party

Pittsburgh, the only town where "dress to impress" involves putting on urban camo, seems to be the place to be for parties this week. From Jose Canseco to Dick's Sporting Goods, everyone seems to be hosting some sort of shindig, and the locals  are fairly excited about all the HUGE celebs rolling into town.

"Nick Lachey is coming in for the game. Miss Pennsylvania will be here. Derek Jeter and Mark Cuban will be stopping by. It's unbelievable," said Michael Pijanowski, who grew up in Lawrenceville and will be hosting an All-Star bash at his trendy dejAVu nightclub Monday night.

Okay, two things. First, was the word "trendy" just associated with the city of Pittsburgh? Second, having Nick Lachey and Miss Pennsylvania in your club does not warrant the use of the word "unbelievable."

Other "celebs" getting drunk in the name of baseball: Rick Sutcliffe, Rob Dibble, Dan Marino, the Miller Lite Girls, Vladimir Guerrero, David Ortiz, Miguel Tejada, Jason Bay, Vernon Wells, Carlos Beltran, and David Wight.  Plus some sweet jams will be rocked out thanks to Collective Soul, Smash Mouth and Roethlisberger's favorite band the PovertyNeck Hillbillies.  "Unbelievable" indeed.
