Yao: Friend of the Animals

Yao Ming has sworn off shark's fin soup as part of his new movement to help support the conservation of endangered animals.  I'm not sure how he is going to be able to give up such a delicious sounding soup, but he is doing it for his "friends"; the animals.

This is all fine and good, Yao wants to protect animals.  Very hippie of him. I have no problem with that, but what I am concerned about is that fact that I am yet to see the commercial that was made to go along with Yao's campaign.  According to the article:

A television commercial shown at Yao's news conference featured him jumping up from a basketball court to block a bullet fired at an elephant.

Yao would take a bullet for an elephant. That's love, man.

UPDATE:

Thanks to the Roscoe Report (via Deadspin) here is the PSA. It was a lot funnier when I simply knew the concept and hadn't actually seen it come to fruition.

If you're out hunting, it's more impressive to bring a 7'6" Chinaman to the taxidermist than anything short of a non-flying elephant.
