US Recaptures World Domination
By "recaptures world domination" I meant "was able to win a meaningless game," unless, of course, you are reading ESPN.com, in which case the 2006 version of Team USA is the second-coming of the original Dream Team of '92 (could the Worldwide Leader possibly be any less respectable?).
USA was able to overcome a slow start to eventually crush, well, themselves. I mean, last I checked, Puerto Rico was the unofficial 51st state. So really, both teams win. Yay! But seriously, a team of the greatest players in the world won an exhibition game. Let's not get too excited... like I did a few years ago when the 'Skins went undefeated in the preseason. That was Spurrier's first season as coach, and we all know how well the real season went.
A couple of overlooked items from the exhibition heard round the world: The Puerto Ricans had Burger King logos on their jersey, yet refused to bring the King (not to be confused with the Queen) in off the bench. He has great length. Also, the Vegas crowd gave Coach K a nice round of boos when he was introduced. Good to know he is hated all over the country, not just in ACC-land.

Remember that in 2004 we roughed up the Puerto Ricans in an exhibition game before going to Europe and having a tough time with Italy and Turkey. Then we go to Athens for the Olympics and Puerto Rico returns and beats us by 19....by far the worst beating Team USA has ever received. And we all know what happened after that.
And we gotta go to Asia and play.
Not to say that that game wasn't nice to see....but I'm still not going to say that we are back yet either.
