Where Have I Seen This Map?
ESPN has a debate raging right now over College Football vs. NFL. If W. has taught me anything, it's that every vote counts, so I threw in my ballot for the NFL. The results were pretty amazing: 50-50 after about 135,000 votes. A nation divided right down the middle.
The map above is a screen shot I took from ESPN. The blue states favor NCAA, reds are NFL and gray is split even. Swap the colors and this looks awfully familiar to the 2004 presidential election map. Without delving too deep into politics, all I will say is that this clearly means people who prefer NCAA are stupid. Sorry, I kid.
As for my personal opinion, the NCAA will be unable to compete for my love and devotion until they put together some sort of playoff system. Then again, I crew up in Northern Virginia, where college football is nonexistent... other than those annoying Hokies that migrate here after receiving their top-notch degree from VA. Tech.

College sports are, generally, popular in towns that don't have major league sports. I'd imagine that giving San Antonio an NFL franchise would suddenly red up Texico down there.
I'd also wager that if you voted three times somehow, you coul probably tip the balance in Wyoming, either Dakota, or Vermont.
