Bush Is Already Jinxed by EA
One day after EA reveled that Reggie Bush will be on the cover of their NCAA Football '07 games, his good buddy Michael Michaels announced that he plans to sue Reggie for $3.2 Million.
Allegedly, the Bush family agreed to pay Michaels $4,500 a month in rent to live in his $757,000 home, but, according to Michaels' attorney Brian Watkins, the Bush family "never paid a dime." Watkins went on to say, "It was always, 'Don't worry, we'll pay you - you can take it out of our profits.'"
Bush, however, never signed with Michaels' sports marketing firm and it seems they are just a little unhappy about that: "Watkins said he plans to file a $3.2 million fraud lawsuit. The sum includes $300,000 in money that Michaels claims he and another investor, a documented gang member named Lloyd Lake, put into the business, plus punitive damages."
Mike Florio at Pro Football Talk seems to more than agree with my speculation earlier this week that Bush may lose his Heisman: "If these allegations are true, Reggie should be spending some quality time with his Heisman, because we're now convinced that he's eventually going to have to give it to Uncle Rico [aka Vince Young]."
