This may come as a shock: John Daly has some vices.  His number one problem, according to his new autobiography, is gambling.  Daly claims that he has lost between $50 and $60 million over the last 12 years. 

In the book, John Daly: My Life in and Out of the Rough, he tells a story about losing $1.65 million in one five-hour sitting last year while playing $5,000 slot machines.  Besides the fact that only old women should play the slots, where the hell are the 5K machines at? This gambling problem is clearly not what you'd consider healthy.

Daily seems to realize this.  "I'm off those ... medications. I don't drink JD [Jack Daniels] anymore. I don't beat up on hotel rooms and cars as much. Only gambling remains a problem ... If I don't get control of my gambling, it's going to flat-out ruin me."

  You are insane if you don't think that Daly is in the mold of the athlete of the future. Beer gut? check. Smokes cigs? check. Pushes prescription drugs on the black market with wife? check. John Daly is my hero!
