Feeling Sad
Hearing random play on the CD player
back to black...
Today, I did my first workout routine with my new STABILITY BALL which I got as a happy birthday gift from dear haydos. I did all of the Basic exercises except for the Wall Squat, but I will need to work on better balance before I can progress to anything "Intermediate".
TKB called tonight from a San Diego club on 4th and B. Delerium is performing there (and they are playing here and right now! It's a random selection from my 100-disc CD player which is currently set to shuffle play! Nice coincidence, huh?). In any event, lucky TKB! We wish we were there togezzar.
So today I obviously discovered this new journal feature on the new AOL 9.0 software, and since I'm here alone with nothing but laundry and dirty dishes to occupy myself -- "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", on HBO, just wasn't enough to sustain my interest -- I thought I would give this thing a whirl.
The "real" purpose of thissa here partiklar blog, though, is to share some randoms from the BMan experience, including pics. This year was my second year in attendance and, in this, blog I'll blab about the 2003 Burn (themed Beyond Belief), reminisce on my maiden voyage thar (the theme then was the Floating World) and share musings on the after-Burn effects (the catch-all for anything else caught in the lint trap of my mind).
With that, check out that picture of me and haydos on our first day at Black Rock City. This is before we're dirty, dusty, overheated and generally less comfortable than normal. Surely, you can expect more pictures in the not-so-distant future.
Enjoy.

A number of years ago, a similar sort of accident happened here in Oxford. A young woman fell off a haystack ride (during the autumn months, students could sign up for and pay a small amount of money to take group "haystack" rides (hay piled high on a wagon drawn by a truck or tractor generally). -
I like your idea of doing this blog, "blackblog," Cil. And I am very interested in reading about your thoughts about Burning Man and seeing the pics. I read the letter you forwarded by the driver of the Bcar which inadvertently ran over the young woman. What a terrible thing to have happened. The rest of my comment has to come separately as apparently only 500 letters can be used! Bozsi

These are night rides and, as one can imagine, many of the students are somewhat high or drunk when they do this. Anyway, she fell off and was run over by the heavy wheels of the wagon and died. Sobering!
How do you like the Stability Ball? I have one and use it a lot as a computer chair, as well as doing many of my weight-lifting exercises on it.
My best, Bozsi
