There is an HTML chat room out there. The only place I know it is used is in the Personal Finance Community, and can it be found here: Market News Chat - AOL Money & Finance.
This (like all AOL-created chat rooms) is only open to AOL members. If you are an AIM user, or you want to chat with another AIM user, you can create or be invited to chat rooms using Buddy Chat.
There are a number of enhancements to this HTML chat experience that we are working on before we use it in more places. I don't have any details that I can share with you at this point, but I will keep you up to date as I learn more.
For now, you can rest assured that when we make any changes to chat rooms, we will make every effort to notify the users of that chat room ahead of time.
