Cool Stuff: IFRAMEs

Ryan

What Is an IFRAME?

I think Joe from Magic Smoke defines it best -- "An IFRAME is like a little window cut into a Web page that shows content from another Web page."

Recently John Scalzi gave a little break down on imbedding an IFRAME into your blog. I found the entry very helpful, since today was my first time using the IFRAME tag to imbed a poll. Word on the street is that you can use the IFrame tag to display content from FlickrYouTube and StatCounter only. Don't worry, there will probably be other sites you can pull content from in the future as the enhancement is refined.

Drumroll, Please ...

This is the first time I have used an IFRAME to display something -- in this case, a poll I created on community tools.

Tell us about your IFRAME project. Got any tips to share?
