AOL Phoneline: Another Possible Use
I’m a single guy, and when I am out and about mingling with other twenty- and thirty-somethings, I occasionally meet a nice woman whom I want to take out on a date. When it gets to the part of the conversation when it seems appropriate to ask for her number, I’d say 50 percent of the time I am given an e-mail address.
I think more people in the singles scene are following this practice, because it seems less intrusive than giving out your home or cell phone number. Now, with the AOL Phoneline number, you can use it instead of your e-mail address. It’s kind of like a “throwaway” number, similar to that e-mail account you created last year so that whenever a Web site asks for your e-mail address, you don’t end up with spam in your “official” e-mail inbox.
So here’s a question for you: What else could you use an AOL Phoneline number for?
