New Words to Add to the AOL-to-English Dictionary

Ryan

Here are a few words and phrases that we are blogging about a lot lately and what they mean.

· AIM Pages: "An AIM Page is your face and space on the Web. AIM Pages' features and tools help you easily express yourself, connect with friends, family and others like you, and improve your online experience. When you create an AIM Page, you can include photos, videos, news, music and more. With our publishing tools, your can "skin" your page with different themes and choose modules that allow you to be as creative as you want. And integration with the AIM® Buddy List® feature ensures notification when your buddies update their profiles."

· Module:  "A module is a piece of content that you can put on your Web site. Think of modules as the building blocks of your AIM Page. You decide which modules you put on your page, so mix and match them to create your unique profile."

· UnCut Video: More information can be found within the UnCut Video FAQ area.

· Beta: "Beta is the process in which software is tested before it is released to the general public. The purpose of the AOL Beta program is to test new software by using it as you normally would, and report any issues you find via bug reports." (Source: AOL Beta Info Center)
