And the winner is.........

NOT THE RAIDERS. After a long talk with a Chargers fan last night, and even before, I really felt that the Raiders would come off this Bye with a win and not let those San Dee-yuckos beat 'em again. Well, at least I can see reality and accept it. For some reason, this will be another season we can just chalk up to the Raiders just being there for other teams to practice with on THEIR way to the playoffs and possible NFL championship. A fact I feel is hard to swallow, but will nevertheless.

A 1-4 start is hard to recover from, especially looking at the upcoming contests on the horizon. I see more injuries happening, more confusion, more penalties and a collapsing defense. Offense? Offensive! I guess you can say that at this point I'm disheartened. Who wouldn't be? But all is not lost. I still feel that all is not lost....yet. Hey, just keeping it real. Someone's gotta step up and get this team motivated. Then again, maybe they just don't have the heart to win. Hard to tell. Anyway, I'm sure that my Raiders try hard and they lay down for nobody. But when you shoot yourself in the foot after you make a damn good play to sway momentum, you start to wonder.

Next week Buffalo comes a calling with a 3-3 record and a healthy, somewhat balanced team (shudder). Will the Raiders rebound after today, leaving what has transpired behind and hopefully move on? Well, even bee stings take time to heal.

Already railed the Raiders in my blog and you seem to be a cool guy so I'll be cool. I know the pain. I'm glad we won, of course. Kerry is a liability back there. Can the Raiders run? LT can do it all, fo sure. Guess I can even root for the Raiders when they play Denver and KC, but thats it. Buffalo is beatable. Stay away from stray barges!
