Crochet Trivia:  Did Ewe Know?

Did Ewe Know?

During World War I,
sheep were kept on the
White House Lawn.

Their job was to keep
the lawn mowed, thus
saving manpower for
the war effort
.

In turn, their wool
was sold to raise funds
for the Red Cross.
