Ok, so everyone was up this morning without a problem. Everyone got dressed without a problem. I was just waiting for Ryan to start crying. I just kept remembering that fit he had in his classroom when we went to see it and I was just waiting for it.... but he was fine! Actually, (and don't tell him I told you this) Alex is the one who cried. He's worried he won't do well this year since he struggled last year.  I kept telling him that he'd be ok though, that he just needed to do his best and I'd help him. I just tried to calm him down and told him not to worry about it, especially on the first day! He calmed down, but he was still sorta sulky.

But like I said, all morning I was just waiting for Ryan to start crying. He got ready and was fine. We went out to wait for the bus and he was fine. I figured he'd start freaking out once the bus actually came, but he was all excited to see it! Gave me a hug, followed his brother on the bus, waved to me with a big smile from his seat and off he went!! Omg, I was so proud of him, I almost cried!

Devin was so funny out there. Everytime a big truck would pass, he'd jump and grab onto my shirt...lol. He was getting excited about it...lol.

And of course I took pictures!............



As you can see, Alex still wasn't too thrilled. He didn't even get on his nice clothes today.  I'm just really hoping he has a good time today and comes home in a much better mood! He really wanted his best friend, Dylan, to be in his class this year so I hope he is, that'll make him feel better. I don't know what Ryan was doing, I think he was scratching his face with a finger...lol. He looked so cute!




Walkin' down to wait for the bus! What a nice morning for the first day of school! (No, he's not wearing floods...lol... he was pulling them up.)




Ryan and his silly faces! He's such a little goofball...lol. We waited forever for the bus! Oh, if you look very closely, in the upper right corner, you'll see a sheriff who pulled someone over...lol. This jerk is always out here, driving back and forth (always in front of our house), pulling people over. It's a 4-lane road and people are always speeding. He pulled over like 4 people while we waited! Anyways, enough about the po-po! If you look around Ryan's neck, you'll see a necklace. Well, he got that out of a gumball machine yesterday. It's a little gold dollar sign...lol. He insisted upon wearing it!! Omg, it's too funny, he looks like a little Junior G...lol. I took a better picture of him with it on, but I just relized his name tag's in the picture with our last name on it and I don't really want to post that! And I'm too lazy to go edit it...lol.





Finally! The bus! Alex just sorta took off, seasoned veteran that he is, but Ryan turned back to give me a hug and I made sure to tell him what a big boy he is! Then he followed Alex right onto the bus!




Alex was still sorta grumpy and wasn't too excited, but Ryan was! I'm so happy that he was excited to go! I was sooooo worried! Anyone who reads my other journal knows how he was when we went to his school and how scared I was... what a relief! And no phone calls saying that he was freaking out! So to see a big smile and wave as they drove off really made me so proud of him!!

I can't wait to see how their day went!

I just thought I'd take a minute to make a quick entry here and post a few pictures.

The kids start school on the 6th and I'm really not prepared. I admit, I'm a little nervous about Ryan starting kindergarten. He had a little bit of a rough time when he started pre-school, but hopefully he'll be ok this year since he's already done it.

Devin's getting a little better with sleeping, but not too much. I've been trying to do things a little different, but he's still not sleeping through the night. Oh, and he's getting a tooth!

This one was a couple days ago and I just thought it was so funny that one of his little fruit puff things was stuck to his little chin!

The cutest thing just happened!

Devin was sitting in his play pen and I went to pick him up. I hold out my arms and make the come here gesture with my hands. He usually moves his arms up a little so I can pick him up... well, this time he picked his arms all the way up, straight at me! He actually looked right at me and reached for me!

I'm sure that some of you who have kids understand........ the little things are the BIG things!

This past Saturday was Ryan's 5th birthday! He's getting so big, so fast. He'll be going to kindergarten this year and he's really excited to go. However, I found out that he'll have the same teacher that Alex had..... I didn't like her. *Sigh* Oh well, what can you do? She just better not piss me off this year because I won't be so nice this time.

Aaaaanyway, I thought I'd post some pictures from the party that was, unexpectedly, held here!

(Sorry about the picture distortion, I just resized them here because it's quicker that way!)

This is one of the boys' cousins, Eileen, holding Devin. I love those girls, they're so nice. This was while all the "boys" were outside cooking on the grill and us womenfolk were inside talking...lol. (That's Greg's mom in the background, I think she was giving me a dirty look... lol.  )

Mr. Birthday Boy was being a grumpy butt and didn't want his picture taken...lol.

 

Devin loves Aunt Carla! (And I love the mess in the background.  Lol.)

 

He was just talking and talking about her necklace... it was so funny! He was really loud about it, too...lol.

 

All the excitement wore him out! Little sweetie.

 

Grandma got him this styrofoamy rocket shooter thingy (that's the technical term) and all the kids loved it. This is their other cousin, Alayna, with Ryan.

 

And, of course, the day wouldn't be complete without Greg trying to inflict some kind of bodily harm upon me... even if it's just with the styrofoamy rocket shooter thingy!

 

After we ate, it was cake and present time. Grandma bought the cake and tried to get a Cars one, but they were out so we got stuck with an Ice Age 2 cake...lol.

 

Ryan cut the cake.. with a little help from Alex...lol.

 

Instead of ice cream, I made dirt cups.... doesn't that look gross? Lol!

 

Present time, yay! That was one of our presents and I don't know if you can tell, but it's Spiderman Christmas paper...lol. You can't really tell, other than the colors!

Why is he so happy? Well, if you look closely at what's in his hand, you'll find the answer--money!

 

And the grand finale: The big 'ol remote control Hummer! He was thrilled, he loves it! And so does Greg, of course...lol. He was playing with it in the house and ran right the hell into my foot... ouch.  It's fast and heavy!

So he had a great day and it all turned out pretty good, considering the fact that I wasn't even prepared to have the party at our house....... it was supposed to be at Greg's mom and dad's house! Ryan had a lot of fun though and it went well.

I now have a  5-year-old!

I thought I'd post some more pics of the kids and update a little, even though not much is going on...lol.

This is Alex when we went to the park where I took all the flower pics. I should've had him take off his hat because you can't even see his face...lol. And he had to have it taken with his freakin' snake!

 

And this is Ryan with his baggy pants and cuteness...lol. The kid insists upon wearing pants all the time, even in 90 degree weather!

I love this picture. Alex loves him so much and is so protective, he's such a great kid!

I had to leave this one bigger so you could get the full effect of cuteness! He recently discovered his tongue and that it's fun to stick it out...lol.

 

So everything's been going well with the kids. Alex had to get a filling last week when we went to the dentist, but he handled it really well. I was more nervous than him, I think! Ryan is as crazy as ever...lol. His birthday's coming up, the 19th, and he'll be 5 already! School starts the 6th next month and he'll be in kindergarten. Alex'll be in second grade... whew... growing up so fast! And Devin, of course, is great. Little Chubbers is my new nickname for him...lol. I think he's gonna be a mama's boy, just like Alex!  I feel sorry for future girlfriends...lol.

It's been an entire month since I've posted here! I have to update and I figured I'd start with some pictures of Devin. He's getting so big, he's almost 17 lbs. now.... my tiny little baby is gone! He's getting cuter and funnier all the time though.

 

He'll be crawling soon!

 

Ah yes, he has his own little personality now!

Maybe he was calling the Poopy Diaper Patrol..... oh wait, that's me. He's sitting up so well now!

So last night Devin was up late, for some reason. I needed to go to the store real quick for something and I was waiting for him to go to sleep so I could go. Greg finally said to just go ahead...this was at about 11:00. I left and tried to hurry because I knew that Devin had thrown a fit when I left before, but then again, I was gone for an hour and a half. I hurried anyway, just in case, but figured he'd be fine. I got back probably 15 minutes later, walked in and Greg was walking around with him as he cried. Omg. As soon as I took him, he stopped. I took him to his crib, laid him down and he was out like a light. I asked Greg if he'd tried that and he said yes, he tried everything...lol. He kept saying Devin's spoiled, but I said no, he just loves his mommy...lol. He insisted I spoil him. Well, maybe I do...a little. I also spend more time with him. I just can't believe he threw such a fit, but he was tired and I wasn't around.

I notice that anytime someone takes him to hold him, he always looks around to find me and he keeps looking to make sure I'm still around. He might be spoiled, but he likes me, too, which is more than I can say for most people...lol. It feels really good though, just to know that I'm wanted/needed that much.

And I need him just as much as he needs me.

This is a picture that Alex took....hence the serious look. Devin's just looking at him like "wtf are you doing?"...lol. Notice they have the same grey/blue eyes. So pretty! Those eyes will definitely lure the girls in when they get older!

 

He looks like he's posing for a photo shoot here...lol. He actually started off sitting up with his toys, then he tipped a bit! He has the "yucky look" though because he stuck his fingers in his mouth and didn't like 'em much...lol.

 

This was our first pea experience...lol. Notice I forgot the bib! He was tossed in the tub after I took this picture...lol.

 

I was just planning on getting a picture of Devin in his new crib, but Alex wanted in the picture, as always! I picked out his crib bedding a long time ago, just because it was cute and cheap, but it just so happens it has the same shade of green in it as the walls...what luck. I wish I would've waited and got something with fish on since we seem to have a fish theme... and I love sea life and ocean stuff. He doesn't seem to mind though!

 

This is just Devin and me...and my nose...lol. I really like this picture though, he's so cute!!

 

This one I made sure to hide my face in...lol. Alex took it so it's a little blurry, but it's still cute with his big smile! I think it was taken right after the previous picture, which explains why we're wearing the same thing in both...lol.

Ok, that's all for now. I've been cleaning like a madwoman and Devin finally decided to take a nap so I figured I'd sit down and do this since I'd wanted to like 2 weeks ago...lol. So I'm off to clean yet again...

Well, I guess I'll make an entry here, too, even though no one can read it right now...lol.

Poor Devin's sick. He's been really fussy, has a cough and was pulling at his ears yesterday. No fever though. *Whew* So I called the doctor and she didn't get back to me until like 6:30. She said that their office would be closed today and suggested I take him to this little emergency room they just built in town, instead of going to a "real" hospital. It's really a nice, small place that guarantees you'll see someone in a half hour. (Greg went there when he stepped on a nail...idiot... and when they didn't see him in time, they gave him a gas card.) They were pretty quick though. They didn't poke and prod him, either, which I greatly appreciated! They didn't even make me undress him and they took his temperature in his armpit instead of his butt...lol. So the doctor looked in his ears, but he couldn't really see in the one and said it's hard to clean out their ears.... which I know because his doctor did that once and it's not fun for babies. So he gave us a prescription for some antibiotics anyway, just in case he has an ear infection.. I suppose I would've been upset if he would've said that he couldn't see in his other ear and just said oh well, see ya...lol. But he gave me the prescription just in case, which is better than nothing. He was really good in there though. But the poor thing is so fussy. He's usually so happy, too.

Alex is really excited about going camping with Tracie and her kids. He even wants to get a new earring for the occasion...lol. Ryan doesn't seem to comprehend the whole camping idea or he just doesn't care too much...lol. Maybe he'll just end up staying here with his dad, who knows.Either way, it'll be fun and both Alex and I are looking forward to it.

Well, I need to go comfort a fussy baby... poor guy!

Devin got more shots today, poor baby. He got 4...again! 2 in each chubby little thigh. Omg. He cried, I cried. The boys had to go with me and they went to the waiting room while the nurse gave him the shots because they didn't want to see him get them... or hear him cry. They really love him. He didn't cry too long though and he hasn't been fussy. Even after getting 4 shots, he's still my happy little baby!

We've still been trying the green veggies: broccoli, green beans and peas. We're gonna try squash next. He loves to eat and he always watches if someone eats around him.

The other 2 boys are doing well. I have a bunch of pictures I want to post soon. I'm just so far behind in everything!

Ok, Devin's paging me, gotta go!
