~ Saturday Silence ~
We were able to come home yesterday, and sleep here last night.
As all well laid plans do, ours went awry. The floor we were so sure would get laid down on Friday, was a no go. It wasn't the right thickness. It was necessary to go back to the flooring center, and select flooring of the proper thickness. Therefore, installing the new floor will be sometime this coming week. This also means we're not close to having work people out of our home/lives.
The ugly attitude insurance adjuster, who refused to take any paperwork I had for him, and also refused my offer [of me] doing a written timeline for him? Well, after reading all 21 pgs. of our Homeowner's Policy this morning, the company requires a written timeline, and copies of bills, photos, etc. Now, was he ignoring company policy; or just that big of a horse's hiney? Next week will tell, because we're not through dealing with him, yet. *big sigh*
I've tried to make today my Sunday. Not getting outta my jammies, reading, watching movies, etc.
We have to get up very early tomorrow and drive across town. We're taking Concealed Weapons class. The class lasts all day long We will take written tests, fire different types of weapons, and be fingerprinted/photographed so we can be registered with SLED.
As the class has drawn closer, I've wondered why I ever agreed to this. Hubby kept saying it was something we could do together...sort of like a hobby. I wasn't aware when I agreed that it's a one day class. I'm not sure I want my hobby[in my later yrs.] to be going to firing ranges. My DH is not, nor has he ever been, a hunter. We own no guns. I understand that knowing how to properly fire a gun is the smart thing to do if one is going to be around, or own guns. Hubby is getting all fired up [pun not intended] about the class, I'd rather chew railroad nails. I can't just not go, the classes, SLED registration "ain't" cheap.
Hope all of you have enjoyed a nice Saturday. Blessings to all

Wow! long day! Do you plan on having a gun in the house at some point? If not, like you I wouldn't see a point in going. Sorry you have to give another week up to the service workers in the home. (Hugs) Indigo

Deb,
Thank you. It was a LONG day 7:30 am until 7 pm, and hr. for lunch. Two written tests, and of course, shooting at the gun range. Hubby and I both did well!
Intense, challenging, interesting for me...fun, I can't say I had fun today. Maybe when I'm not being graded it will be fun.

Linda,
I'm scattered brained due to all this mess. However, I apologize for the confusion of jumping from the plumbing to adjuster to going to the Concealed Weapons class.
LOL -
have fun at the class:)

Yes, keeping a gun in the home is hubby's plan.
It was a L-O-N-G day! I was so happy to get home. : ) They gave us our practice target silouettes which, we are going to tack up in the garage. LOL A joke for the 2 of us.
Let's see this wk. the carpet was cleaned on Monday. The wood flooring was supposed to be put down today [Wed.]. However, the installer called to say he was having a problem with the job he was on and asked to postpone until Thurs. am.
The final "hurrah", if you will, will be submitting the extra bills to the adjuster. *GROAN*
Blessings sweet friend.
