~ Monday ~

I can honestly say, this Monday is certainly off to a better start than the last one.  However, once again DH and I sit here as other folks are in our home doing work.  This time is carpet cleaners with special sprays too, to keep down the possible occurance of mold/mildew, etc.

Once the wood floors get replaced [hopefully tomorrow], then I truly hope and pray we can have our home back.  It needs cleaning soooo badly.

I know I make all kind of jokes about myself concerning cleaning and cooking...and I'm old enough [does it translate to wise enough, as well] to not go into cleaning mode until all the "messer-uppers" are done and out of here. *quizzical look*  I know it's going to take me more than one day to get it all in clean, and in order.

Really I'm very grateful, and thankful the damage wasn't worse than it was.  We're fortunate in that vein.

Warning: Change of subject follows.  LOL  Seems I confused a reader [maybe more] with my jumping from subject to subject in my last post.

Onto the CWP course the DH and I took yesterday [4/6].  It was very small class, which was good!  3 couples, with 3 "stag" men.  All but 1.5 hrs. was class work, a few videos, and testing.  We did get 10 min. breaks each hr., and an hr. for lunch.  The last 1.5 hrs. were spent on the shooting range to qualify for the NRA and SLED [State Law Enforcement Division].

My feelings are mixed on this matter.  I did learn gun safety and that is important.  At least I [now] know that I could save myself, if it became necessary.  Or as my grandma might have said "Girl, you can hit the broad side of the barn."

Perhaps, I will enjoy on occasion going out to a gun range...will I become pro-active in the NRA; become an instructor for them...most likely not.  Will I be concerned about "carrying" in each and every state I may visit?  I think not.  I'm still baffled as to why my DH decided this was something he [we] wanted to do.

Gotta run for now.  Happy Monday and blessings, everyone.

Glad the leak is almost behind you again... and it was more funny than confusing about the leak, grumpy apraiser and then Cindy learning how to use a gun, lol, poor apraiser...

The only experience I have with a gun is target shooting with Sonny and he's decided with my aim it was in the best interest of others that I keep as far from them as possible!  I can't aim worth ...
