Memorial Day

Memorial Day feels especially important this year. I haven't been able to make enough sense out of my thoughts to write anything coherent, but below are some links to some relevant Web sites, sites that have helped me reflect on this year's Memorial Day....

(r)evolUUtions, by a Unitarian Universalist who is an officer in the Marine Corps and has recently returned from Iraq. You'll also find a link to his war blog.

Unitarian Universalist Military Ministries, a site for Unitarian Universalists who are service members, families, and veterans of the U. S. armed forces.

Operation Dear Abby, a way to send messages of support to random servicemembers who might come into harm's way.

Bill Baar's blog has some good links to war blogs. This Is Your War has a powerful entry for May 26.

This is the first War were Troops are getting Dear John letters real time direct on the battlefield via the internet.  An Army doc told me that.  It's startling the amount of info going back and forth now about the War.
