Hail storm in SAN DIEGO?!?!?
After dinner tonight Yoko wanted to go to the 99 shop in Clairmont, so I drove her out there and we did a little shopping. It has been a tad bit chilly today, and a little rain off and on.....nothing too bad. Well right as we turned into our subdivision, it was like God turned the thunderstorm on overdrive and it started to HAIL. I never thought I would see hail in San Diego. I was so glad to turn into our garage. I hate driving in the dark and I really hate driving in the rain like that.
I showed Yoko how to make my Chicken and Dumplings. It's so hard to write everything down, because unless I am baking, I never really measure everything. She was trying so hard to take notes....I felt so bad.
My mother took Savanah Snow tubing last night and broke her wrist! And they are gong skiing Sunday morning. Savanah has never been so she is super excited. I am begging for pictures....but I won't hold my breath since I am still waiting on pictures from last summer! She sounds so tired from all the fun I guess. I really miss her, but I know it's good for her to get away sometimes and spend time with Grandmama.
I am not sure what we are doing Sunday. I don't need to get groceries yet, and it's James' last day before he heads back to the boat. He is going to the airport around 2:30 to pick up a friend but other than that we will probably just veg out. James was talking about cleaning out Savanah's room before she get's back. Purge all the old toys and what not.
I am thinking about taking a sleeping pill tonight to get some shut eye. I was up until after 3 am this morning. And back up at 8. I slept for a few minutes and woke up over and over all night. It sucked. And I just realized I still have yet to mail out the apron from the apron swap I participated in (it got sent back to me cause I transposed the numbers) and also I never sent Becky her cookbooks! I can't believe it. I suck big time! Please forgive me. Actually I am about to go on B&N right now and order Becky 2 cookbooks, and have them shipped right to her house. For some reason it all slipped my mind.
On the subject of giveaways and swaps. I was thinking of hosting a SPRINGSWAP. It could be anything from stationary to cookbooks, to something hand made...whatever. I just wanna get a feel how many of you would be interested? Shoot me an email or a comment. Also, for those of you who signed up for my PAY IT FORWARD please email me your address.
Well ya'll I better get off here and spend some QT time with Hubby. I will post our menu sometime tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great night!
