I would like to thank all the DIRTBAGS

Yes, I would like to thank all of the grimy dirt bags my hubby works with.  Thank you for always screwing everything up, showing up late for work, coming in drunk, having an un-sat uniform, bringing domestic issues to work, being flat out lazy, acting like a 12 year old,FAILING inspections, skipping out on watch, not communicating when you know you should, never accepting responsibility for your actions, being a jackass, being a thief, and a liar but most importantly THANK YOU for your actions that have lead the ENTIRE boat to have DOUBLE Duty days, 16 hour work days, and ass chewing after ass chewing.  There is nothing I like more than to have my husband never home while in port, and when he does come home for the very few hours, he crashes and showers, and can barely stay awake long enough to get undressed.  This is all thanks to you not knowing your job, and not doing what you are trained to do, and least we forget the shitty attitude you bring with your blunten laziness and dirt bag qualities.  I don't mind that after the 16 hour work days ahead and the commute, that I will be lucky to see my husband for 20 seconds as he drags ass in the door and passes out on the sofa for the 3.5-4 hours of sleep he so desperately needs.  I also don't mind that he along with the entire boat is suffering because of your actions.  You are a masterpiece.  And I don't know why anyone would want you to know how to do your job!  The nerve! I hope you get that visit from Karma sooner than later.

poster #5 I agree. My husband actually just emailed me about an inspection his dept just had. One of the FSAs (people on kitchen duty and not in their normal departments) got reprimanded for NOT doing his JOB by the first class, so he punched the metal door and kicked some stuff around in the kitchen and did he get in trouble for this outburst at all? NO, everyone else had to clean it up and he got to go back to his original department and got out of his 3 months of FSA duty because he hurt his hand. Are you kidding me? In my opinion that should have done nothing but earn him MORE kitchen duty. Now my husband has to stay working 16 hours a day for another month to cover for the lost manpower in hat dept.

They are too afraid to punish people because they might not re-enlist. but honestly you would think they would be smart enough to realize that if someone WON'T do their job and is a dirt bag, rational people wouldn't want them IN the Navy to begin with! I always tell my husband I hope they never get into a situation where WWII style Naval battles break out, because 9/10th of the dipshits on those ships will either hide or run around like chickens with their heads cut off. They all might as well abandon ship!

You know...in my opinion those men who don't follow the rules should NOT get a second chance...get rid of them!  Heck the children in my son's wrestling team are better behaved then those grown men!  They only get one chance...if they are caught at a party or out after midnight they are OFF the team.  NO second chances.  That's the way is should be too.
They all know what is expected of them and still they act out like teen age boys!?  They are suppose to be role models for younger men?  Scary!!!!

I never can figure out what is worse... the damn dirtbags, or the fact that NOTHING is EVER done about it. They punish the entire ship, but when promotions roll around guess who is always first in line because of their time in rate? That's right, the dirtbags. If they would single these morons out and actually DO something to THEM I think tey would see a lot less of this, but instead, they have everyone else to shoulder the punishment for them.

that's too bad to punish all for the sins of a few; its done in school with missed recesses for all if a few misbehave, I didn't realize the military did it as well.  I feel for you and your husband

It stinks so much when these guys really ultimately get away with their bad behavior, punish everyone for the few who can't get their act together, that's one thing that seems to be a military wide action and it absolutely infuriates me as well.

I don't know if the Navy has it, from our Navy friends I don't think you guys do...but in the Army they have a duty that's not punishment or extra duty, it's just part of the job....they have CQ which ultimately is where they go to the single soldiers barrack's and ultimately babysit them, make sure they behave, make sure no guests are there unattended or for over night visists, etc....it's babysitting GROWN men and women! They have to go wake them up half the time so these soldiers are up and at PT on time, it's insane. Let them be late and let them deal with the consequences. They want to be in the military, act like it!

In your guys situation, they want to come in drunk, put their butts in jail or a holding cell, they want to be late, give them extra duty. It just is insanity to me to punish those who do right, come in on time, work hard, complete their job, do their job with pride, wear their uniform with pride, etc.

I'm feeling for you girl, truly am. :(

Hugs and I hope these 16 hr days end SOON.
