Iran, Hebollah, Iraqi Terrorists - More Ties...

Will the terror ties every cease with Iran?

FOX News - 2008-05-07
Almost a week after the U.S. Department of State branded the ayatollahs’ regime in Iran as the “most active state sponsor of terrorism,” there are reports from Baghdad that the Hezbollah of Lebanon has been training Iraqi terrorists at camps near Tehran.
...
The Qods Force’s Imam Ali Base in Tehran is at the center of the ayatollahs’ terrorist training program. Tucked away in a quiet area of northern Tehran close to Saad-abad Palace, it used to accommodate would-be terrorists from more than a dozen countries.

Run by IRGC commander Hossein Lotfi, Imam Ali Base is now dedicated entirely to the training of Iraqi militia. One of the base’s main commanders, IRGC Brigadier General Orouj, was previously a senior commander of the Qods Force in Lebanon.

The connection between Iran, Hezbollah, and the Iraqi Shiite Militias in Iraq are no secret... repeatedly denied in the West by media, even with people carrying pictures in the streets!

New York Times - 2008-05-05
Militants from the Lebanese group Hezbollah have been training Iraqi militia fighters at a camp near Tehran... the account of Hezbollah’s role was provided by four Shiite militia members who were captured in Iraq late last year and questioned separately.

The United States has long charged that the Iranians were training Iraqi militia fighters in Iran, which Iran has consistently denied, and there have been previous reports about Hezbollah operatives in Iraq.

But the Americans say the reports of Hezbollah’s role at the Iranian camp offer important details about Iranian assistance to the militias, including efforts Iran appears to be making to train the fighters in unobtrusive ways.

... the militiamen believed that militants from other countries were also being trained at the camp, an impression based on hearing snippets of conversations in other dialects and languages.

... an Iraqi who facilitated the militiamen’stravel to Iraq was also captured and confessed that he had been paid by an Iranian.

... 81-millimeter mortars and 107-millimeter rockets... bear markings indicating that they were made this year. The weapons have a particular type of fuse and are painted in a way... unique to Iran.

The Iraqi military also seized Iranian-made weapons with 2008 markings during their offensive last month in the southern port of Basra
There seem to be constant reports from captured terrorists rolling in.

CNN - 2007-07-02
A top special operations officer with Lebanon's Hezbollah militia pretended to be deaf and mute when he was captured in Iraq earlier this year, hampering efforts to obtain his identity for weeks

Ali Mussa Daqduq... played an integral role in a January attack in Karbala that killed five Americans, allegedly was helping to train Shiite militias fighting U.S.-led coalition forces, the officials said.

Daqduq was arrested in March in the southern city of Basra, and after officials learned Daqduq's identity, the alleged explosives expert began talking, officials said.

Daqduq and the Iraqi militia commanders with whom he worked have admitted working with Iran's Quds Force.

The Iranian special operations force "is using Lebanese Hezbollah essentially as a proxy, as a surrogate, in Iraq," Bergner said. He added that the military is learning about the "specific motivations behind those operations."
A long history of terror comes from Iran, starting with the fall of the Shah, although the West seemed to show little concern until they were targeted when trying to stabilize Iraq.
