Day in the life of Shells

Ahh. New day. New sun, new weather, new mood! Off to the RS today to work till close (6:30), not looking forward to it at all..stopping at store to get some treats for the girls I work with. Im thinkin a little lunch will do us all good!

For those of you not in Minnesota...the Minnesota State Fair is in full effect here...its crazy. I mean, thousands of people lined up for different foods on a stick! There are pork-chops on a stick, corn dogs on a stick, pickles on a stick, cheese.o.a.s, twinkies.o.a.s...and anything else you can dream up! I personally dont care for the fair too much (hot sticky weather along with hot sicky fried foods...ewww) but B loves it and I am sure we will end up going this weekend. Its so funny because everyone is always saying..."oh! Minnesota's state fair is by far the biggest and the best in the nation..." Then I ask them if they have gone to any other State Fairs and the answer is always no. Well then! How do we really know if ours is the biggest!? And why do we really care? (To me thats like saying we eat the most...and is that something we should be proud of? LOL)

Ah. Minnesota. Gotta Love it. Although I hate how everyone thinks we say "Yeahhhh" and "You betcha", Id like to announce, here and now, that I, dazeychic, have never (never!) said "you betcha". So there. (I say ummm alot though, I think I may have a slight disability there.)  And while we are putting to rest any mis-understanding of this great state...may I also announce that it does not snow here all the time. Yes, it gets cold during winter...and we all whine about it, but it is so beautiful when it snows that we actually enjoy when our nose hairs freeze while trying to shovel the sidewalk. We do not all ice-fish either, thank you very much. (Although I tried it once and it was scary as hell! I hated every second of being on a frozen lake. Every tiny crack was a sign I was going to fall in...)
