Goin to Fenway
The leaves are really turning," Bill Rabbett said. Driving on the Massachusetts Turnpike on a sunny October afternoon is always amazing, but this day held something above and beyond beautiful foliage for Bill and his son, Kevin. They were headed to Fenway Park for Game 3 of the ALCS; Red Sox-Yankees, Pedro vs. The Rocket.
Four days earlier Kevin had posted a special message on AOL saying this may be dads last October, and, since Bill is a 78-year old lifelong Sox fan, Kevin is pulling for Boston to reverse The Curse. No big deal, right? Except 50-year old Kevins favorite team has been and always will be their longtime rival, the New York Yankees.

I sympathize with you both. We were rooting for Boston all the way, as the YANKEES have had their way too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sick of seeing this along with a bunch a STUCK up team members!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!! Just remember to keep your heads high as this past game was only won by 1 run and look how many pitchers it took to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
A FAN FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Kevin,
Tell Dad towake up and smell the coffee. At this stage of his life he should see the light and become a Yankee fan and ditch those perennial losers from Fenway -
Your story is very special. They talk about the love Kevin has for his father. Personally, I think it's a helluva way to show love to your father-BEING A ROTTEN YANKEE FAN ALL THESE YEARS! Bill, where did you go wrong? Or did Kevin jump on the bandwagon, like Billy Crystal and Seinfeld. They'll all be gone when the Yanks finally hit the slide. But, myself and all TRUE Sox fans (including Bill Rabbit) will never lose the love we have for the Sox -or our parents.

Sorry but there is no way Boston or Cubs will ever win another world series. We have a better chance of Sadaam or Osama becoming Pope.
