Some site called Phat Phree (thanks for the link, TK) posts the NBA's All-Time All-Ugly Team. They go so far as to list a starting lineup, head coach, deep bench and honorable mentions. Well done, gentlemen.

Here's their starting five:

-- Sam Cassell: Somehow his identical twin Torry Holt pulls off the same look.
-- Reggie Miller: Busted, but he owns it.
-- Popeye Jones: The man honestly looks like a mix between Sloth from Goonies and Shrek.
-- Tyrone Hill: He stole this spot from the venerable ugliness that is Michael Ruffin.
-- Gheorge Muresan: Don't mess w/ the Bullets.

 Ruffin got robbed!

Not to be outdone, Show Me Your Blog asks, "Who's fuglier: Kevin Pittsnogle or Shelden Williams?"

Update from the comments section: Sportz Assassin nominates 7'5" Iranian prospect Jaber Rouzbahani as a future star of the All-Ugly Team. Compensating for Jaber's ugliness is his ability to dunk w/out leaving his feet.

  My starting 5... Dennis Johnson... actually he is my entire starting 5.  
  
  If this was baseball i'd have to add derek jeter.  Mr. November, a non-steroid user, a winner, a competitor, a hustler who plays the game like it should but I just don't see it...  fails to meet the lofty expectations.

  Head coach.  With all due respect to Hubie Brown.... don't you have to vote in John Chaney for head coach of the all-ugly team???  I think Hubie would make a fine assistant coach, but Chaney is the man for the job!!!

  Thanks for blogging us.  I personally thought Kurt Rambis should be added to our team, but he just wasn't ugly enough.  Maybe he'll make next years squad.

  Can any team get any uglier than the Celtics in the 80s.  Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, Robert Parrish, Dennis Johnson.  The only good looking guy was Danny Ainge!
