Tonight's SBL: the Draft, Hardball, Wimby and Racin'

Before sharing with you the links of the day, a quick reminder: Listen to SBL tonight live from 7-8 PM ET. Your contributions (via IMs to DCSportsGuy) are more than welcome.

We'll be covering the Draft with AOL's Jim ArmstrongRealGM's JT Magee and Yannis from Yannis' Sports Journal. Then we'll hit baseball w/ MLB.com Radio's Todd McFarlane, ViewFromTheBleacher's Tommy Marker and Alex the Blog Phenom. After that we'll preview the last week of Wimbledon w/ ESPN's Luke Jensen and talk racin' with Scottish and the Dude.

Also, NFL stars McNabb, Culpepper, Roethlisburger, Chad Johnson, Tony Gonzalez and Trent Green will be rockin' the SBL mic tomorrow night at the EA Sports Madden 2006 release party. Email DCSportsGuy@aol.com if you have questions for any of them.

PS: We'll be giving away five free McFarlane man toys tonight, so listen in.

Where does he go in your mock draft?

· SI's NBA Draft Fashions photo gallery is a must-see. A tuxedoed Dream shaking hands w/ a mustachioed Stern is worth the time it takes to click.

· As a 'Skins fan, Sports Frog is scaring me:

"Redskins safety Sean Taylor is a lunatic. Clinton Portis calls him the craziest Hurricane in program history -- quite a distinguished list, that one -- and Portis is hardly alone in nominating him. So the surprise isn't that Taylor faces three prison years for trying to solve his problems with gun waving. The surprise is that he never had a publicincident of any kind under Coker's watch."

· The latest Gammons column is somewhat weak but includes this fine tidbit:

"Whomever designed that park in Philadelphia was an idiot. The home-road run numbers are the same as Coors Field."

· Manny's 19th grand slam has Baseball Musings analyzing the likelihood that he'll break Gehrig's record 23.

· Monponsett returns.

· Despite Navritalova's criticisms, 'Pova keeps winning.

Maria Sharapova is far too overrated for her own good.  I mean she wins one lousy major nd can get every endorsement deal on the planet.  I find that a load of bologna.  She isn't even that good and it's not like she is dominating the tour to be granted such attnation.  Martina was right.  I don't think she has what it takes to dominate the women's game.  I mean if she were so good, Why didn't she defeat Venus Willams on Thursday and defend her Wimbledon title against Lindsay Davenport?  she just doesn't have what it takes.  I hope Venus continues to wipe the court with her.

I wouldn't use a number one pick on anyone that goofy looking.

    Monponsett doesn't "return"......she "awakens."
